LET’S THINK LOCAL

As I wondered around the malls in Metro Manila, Kultura Filipino caught my

attention because of the store name and it made me wandered what was inside that store,
then I roam around the store and I was mesmerized and amaze on the different products
that I see, it’s like I want to buy them all, but one part of the store really startles me which
is the Kamisa Section, yes I’m a big fan of t shirts so I go there and check each of the t-
shirts being displayed and bought some of it, and I’m still using and loving the every t-
shirts.

I bought all of this t-shirts in SM Mall of Asia and Sm Aura. Each t-shirt that I bought
cost about 100 pesos but in the store all t-shirts prize range from 100-200 pesos depends
on the size and design of the t-shirts, the t-shirts is made of cotton fabric which is the most
common and comfortable type of fabric used for clothing and the texture of the t-shirt are
soft, stretchy and strong, the shirts comes with a lot of varieties of color in their store but
the only color that I’ve bought are Grey, Mint Green, Dark Green, Maroon, Taupe as shown
in above picture. The design of the t-shirts is inspired on the culture of the Philippines like,
different spot, famous place, transportation, fruits, city and many more design that
represent the culture and shows the trade mark of being Filipino. The Brand of the T-shirts
is KULTURA FILIPINO which highlights uniquely Filipino artistry and craftsmanship, the
brand name of t-shirt is KAMISA BY KULTURA.

Write a one-paragraph essay answering the question: How does the product or artifact
express the Filipino concept of art?

The products or artifacts that I’ve choose express the Filipino concept of art through
the design of their kamisa, wherein they design their shirts based on our culture like what
I’ve said their design shows different spot, famous place, transportation, fruits, city and
many more design that represent the culture and shows the trade mark of being Filipino.
For me, as a Filipino it is a nature that were all fascinated to wear and love t-shirts and
other clothes.
