Brief Profile of Kisan India


“Kisan India” is a creation of M/s Manaswi Management Services Pvt. Ltd., a group comprising of
young and dynamic professional; CAs, Engineers, MCAs, CSs, Lawyers, Journalists, Agro Scientists
and Political & Social Activists of repute.
n  The magazine is designed to fill the vacuum created by the absence of a Farmers oriented
magazine in Hindi at the national level.
n The magazine is an outcome of yearlong surveys in rural areas particularly among farmers.

n•  Over eight thousand Panchayats including District Panchayats, Kshetra Panchayats and

Gram Panchayats in 12 states were surveyed in this process before publishing our first issue.
n•  Over 41,664 direct subscribers we have on list after publishing our second issue and we are

targeting over 75,000 by the end of this financial year.


n Kisan India has its intervention in the areas, deep down in the countryside where no other

modes of communication available to the consumers, not even the vernacular newspapers.
n  We are associated with many regional and national farmers’ organizations which in turn
strengthening our very well grounded subscription base.
n Surprisingly, Kisan India has large number of its subscribers even in predominantly Non-

Hindi speaking states such as Karnataka, West Bengal, Odisha and North-eastern state.
n  We too have market distribution network with 130 distributers and depots all across the
country.
n We are in collaboration with prestigious M/s A.H.Wheelers & Co. Pvt. Ltd. which has a network

of Book stalls on railway platforms all over the country.


n The Group has a highly focused multi-dimensional sales and marketing plan to build its total

circulation base quickly.


n  We admit that success of Kisan India lies in successful marketing, therefore, The Group
has a highly focused multi-dimensional sales and marketing plan to build its 1,50,000 copies
circulation base quickly.
The initial objectives of The Group are as follows:
n To raise seed capital to ensure publication by month three and to establish a cash reserve to
market subscriptions.
n To have 75,000 subscribers by the end of this financial year one through direct sampling and

marketing.
n To have an additional 50,000 subscribers by the end of year 2016, through organizational

sales.
n To have 30,000 more two-year subscriptions sold.

n To go to 68 pages by issue number two and increase press runs to 75,000 promotional copies.

n Increase to 25,000 promotional copies in issues five and six.

n To sell an average of 18 ad pages per issue throughout year one.

Mission
“Kisan India” magazine is for the farmers and rural households. The magazine has a commitment
to be a platform to farming and rural communities which comprise almost 60 percent of India’s
population.
We are here to provide them two way communication, advocating their cause before the policy makers
and other stakeholders and educating them with the latest know how of the industry.
We have been applying a unique strategy by encouraging young rural lads to become our field
reporters so that the genuine issues could be raised and redressed therein to make “Kisan India” a
real voice of the common people.

n Follow-on organizing of events and conclaves after every three months.

n To participate in almost every agriculture and rural fairs all over the country.

n Having quality content in each issue.

n Making all production and distribution dates in a timely fashion for each issue.
