To our Regional Training Director PLTCOL EDUARDO LACPAPAN DANGUECAN JR sir,

to Chief Applied Training Branch PCPT ELMERA A RELOX mam, to Asst. Chief Applied Training
Branch Maria Adelaida Domingo mam, to the RTC 11 Staff and to my fellow classmates from
PSJLC CL 2019-01 A-C Ladies and gentlemen Good morning.

First and foremost, I would like to thank and bring back the honor to our ever loving God
for being with me in the whole duration of this training.

I could still remember before I started JLC, I was hesitant to undergo this schooling because of
financial constraint for the fact that I am under medication and I have to see my doctor thrice a
month. I am supposed to undergo schooling next year, but since, my senior PNCO could not
undergo schooling this year due to some circumstances that he cannot avoid, so he give me his
slot and I also grabbed the opportunity with a positive heart that it happens for a reason. During
my first day in training, I was afraid, thinking of how could I survive this because of my health?
yet I am so eager to continue to learn every lesson with the thought that I could also share it to
my junior in my unit when I return.

My goal is to learn something from this prestigious institution and to equip myself with
knowledge and refreshed it with some new ideas. Before I undergo schooling, my designation
was a team leader of PIT Davao Oriental and I admit that I committed mistakes especially in
handling my junior PNCO for some situation that I thought I am right, but now that I was trained
for leadership, it is not late to correct my mistakes from the past and to apply what I have
learned from this institution. As what our instructors said, we are all leaders with different types
of leadership approach and that will be our greatest weapon in performing our respective duties
because the true battle is not in this schooling but the true battle is in the field.

We should avoid the thought “nga ang schooling is compliance lang para ta ma promote” but we
should value the efforts of this institution on how they mold us to become a living example of
leadership in this society. Being a Top 1 is just a bonus of my hard work and the moment that I
going to step out in this institution I am sure that I have plenty of learnings in my pocket and
most important is I LOSE WEIGHT!

To my senior PNCO PSMS Albacite who brought me in this training, thank you maam for
opening the door of opportunity of my career enhancement. PSSg Dimangadap, thank you for
always being with me and for guiding me to the best I can be. To my family who continuously
praying and supporting me throughout this journey thank you, and of course to our course
coordinator, tactical PNCO, RTC Director, instructors, rtc staff and personnel thank you for all
your efforts and to my classmate’s thank you for the memories.

Before I end let me share you this quote from Martin Luther King Jr., ”A genuine leader is not a
searcher for consensus but a molder for consensus”
