Jane was scheduled from 3:15 PM – 11:15 PM on July 15, 2019. At approximately 4:00 PM (45 minutes
into her shift) Jane was ringing through customers at the till, and during two (2) of the transactions that
I witnessed, Jane's phone began to make a loud ringing noise and she took out her cell phone from her
pocket and began texting in front of the customers. After the customers left, I approached Jane and
asked her to put her cell phone away. I reminded her that cell phone usage should be conducted during
scheduled breaks, lunch periods or in non-working areas, not in front of customers.

belongings or on silent in her pocket. During scheduled breaks, lunch July 20, 2019
periods (in non-working areas) Jane is permitted use her cell phone.
