Introduction –
Brothers Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. is a well known Commercial Test House,
working in the field of Analysis since 1990. Laboratory is situated in
RIICO Industrial Area, Jhotwara Jaipur 302012, Jhotwara Industrial Area is
a prestigious, ambitious& well developed industrial Area developed by
RIICO, Jaipur. Approach to industrial area is very convenient and
comfortable, as it is hardly four kilometers from main Jaipur Railway
Station and two to three kilometer form Jhotwara main city of Jaipur.
The laboratory training time was 9 am to 5 pm. Because I have to trained
in 8 hour per day. The industrial training time given by university is 200
hour in one month. Approx 20 students are trained from the laboratory.
There were two departments –
1. Quality Control Department - There were three section in this
department -
A) Chemical Section
B) Instrumental section
C) Microbiology Section
2. Quality Assurance Department

Analysts with their designations

 In-charge of Chemical section is Mr. Shivraj Gurjar
 In-charge of Instrumental section is Mr. Bhawani Shankar Kumawat
 In-charge of Microbiology section is Mr. Rakesh Gupta .
 In-charge of Quality Assurance Department is Mr. MukeshKumawat .
First Week –
First day of the training time I went to the laboratory at 9 am. We all
students have entered in the laboratory, and meet to the Mukesh sir, they
guide us and tell about the basic rules of the laboratory. The students are
deviaded into two batchs. All the basic instruments such as Hot air oven,
melting point apparatus, digital balance, pH meter and desicator etc. are
observed and some are operated .
I saw U.V. spectrophotometer and understand the principle of U.V.
Spectroscopy, and handled by our batch.Ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy or
ultraviolet–visible spectrophotometry refers to absorption spectroscopy or
reflectance spectroscopy in part of the ultraviolet and the full, adjacent
visible spectral regions. I have handled the U.V. spectrophotometer, and
handled by our batch’s students. So in the first week the basic principles of
machineries and working of U.V spectrophotometer was carried out.
Second Week –
In this week ,first day our guide explain the principle and working of the
disintegration test apparatus to us . They coordinated with us and teach us
about the disintegration. We all are understand the principle of
Disintegration test apparatus and operated that. Disintegration Test
Apparatus is a solid state instrument designed for the accurate estimation
of disintegration time of tablets as per IP/USP standards. The instrument is
designed to test two batches of six tablets, simultaneously. The unit is
extremely useful for pharmaceutical industries. About half end of the week,
we about learned about Dissolution test apparatus also. The
drug dissolution testing is routinely used to provide critical in vitro drug
release information for both quality control purposes, i.e., to assess batch-
to-batch consistency of solid oral dosage forms such as tablets. So in the
second week we have learn about working of the disintegration test
apparatus and dissolution test apparatus.
Third Week –
In this week , we had to visit in microbiology lab. The microbiology lab is
at 1st floor of the laboratory building. Microbiology lab must have the
aseptic area and must have fulfill with aseptic conditions . I saw the
microscope, Autoclave, Incubator and Laminar air flow. About autoclave
apparatus is explained by our guide. I understand the working of
Autoclave and how that work. An autoclave is a pressure chamber that is
used to sterilize equipment and supplies. When these items are placed
inside the autoclave they are exposed to high temperature steam .

Fourth Week –
This is the last week of my training period . in this week our batch learned
about the principle of High performance liquid
chromatography(HPLC) and Gas Chromatography .HPLC is a
technique in analytical chemistry used to separate, identify and quantify
each component in a mixture, and Gas chromatography is used in analytical
chemistry for separating and analyzing compounds that can be vaporized
without decomposition. Both chromatography contains stationary phase
and mobile phase for the sample analyzing. With the learning about quality
control and experience I completed my practical training .

Conclusion-
It’s a matter of great pleasure for me ,that I have done my training at
Brothers Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. Jaipur. The training proved to be a golden
opportunity for me in letting me understand various operations in
pharmaceuticals industry.
