Why your daily volume is so low?

Regarding the volume, thing is that at least you can be assured that our numbers are not fake by
checking our visits on Similarweb (451k monthly visits) and comparing them to other exchanges.

If you go through all normalized numbers for other exchanges, you'll see that only a few of them are
honest with the community, but those who do really have more than 100mln charges up to 5 times
more for services than we do.

We believe in the power of our approach and thus do take relatively low upfront fee (to cover
materials preparations and project team allocation) + % from funds raised (which is our only
margin).

Shortex builds its name in professional investments and has a team of guys from management
consulting and IB, ready to climb mountains together with our clients.

KYC details
As we’re acting in good faith and we’re compliant with current legal requirements in EU and other
certain jurisdictions we need to do KYC & AML checks. As you already know, we are restricting US
citizens from using our services. For other jurisdictions, we are using the services of different KYC
providers such as Onfido in different countries. For the AML services, we’re using a Coinfirm
solution. We’re part of the AMLT network and we’re one of the first exchanges doing real KYC/AML
checks.
Restricted users / locations
Yes, we restrict users from Afghanistan, Bahamas, Bosnia And Herzegovina, Botswana, Canada,
Cayman Islands, Crimea Region, Cuba, Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Ethiopia,
Ghana, Guyana, Iran, Iraq, LAO PDR, Pakistan, People’s Republic of China, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago,
Uganda, the United States, Vanuatu, Yemen. They all allow trading only ETH, BTC and stablecoins
after they pass the KYC. However, we only restrict trading for them once they passed KYC. Before
passing the KYC they have the same withdrawal limits as on Binance. We are not banning people
before passing the KYC because they can easily use VPN and this will not be considered by SEC as
reasonable measures of investors whitelisting, so it does not make any sense to ban them before
they will upload their IDs.

Can we run STO?

Unfortunately we cannot run IEO for Security Tokens directly through our platform due to uncertain
legal environment.

But we already had such experience with another clients and do have two alternative options:

1. We can run a closed Private Sale using our hot investor base, where Shortex will prepare
pitch materials and onepager (more on www.shortex.net/privatesale)
2. Client can issue another utility token with our support and afterwards our legal team will
prepare Legal opinion confirming non-security status for this token. In that case Shortex can
easily run usual IEO

Fundraising case study

1) We are not confusing clients with the power of trader base during IEO process, cause they are not
investors and while other exchanges tell about 100% chances of fundraising from retail investors,
Shortex focuses on institutional investor approaching
2) Our management team consists of ex-management consultants and investment bankers from top-
tier firms with wide financial background and partnerships network
3) For our clients, we directly pitch concepts to "whales" (professional investors) who are searching to
buy tokens of ambitious projects in order to earn with the growth of the project's capitalization
4) We do use a closed private sale option where we sell project's tokens to whales with a 10-20%
discount
5) In the case of Revoil, it helped to raise ~1mln$ in 10 days.
Private Sale
We do believe in the power of institutional investors, especially nowadays, while they are quite
active. More than 65% funds on Shortex were raised through the private deals.

In parallel with IEO preparations, our Investor Relationships team studies your project to pitch to our
network of >2000 VCs and Angel Groups worldwide. Here is how the process looks:

1) We conduct a thorough qualification process to ensure the project meets strict criteria before
presenting it to our investor database, a very important step to maintain the trust with have
developed with our network (1-2 days)

2) After that our team starts preparation of the pitch materials based on market best practices (4-
6 days)

3) We send the draft materials for your review and comments which are then incorporated in a final
version of the pitch package (2-3 days)

4) Our Investor Relations team starts approaching our database (1 week)

5) Once an investor shows interest in your project, we provide them support in answering their
questions and presenting them with the required information, gaining their trust and maintaining
engagement

6) We only connect the project to an investor once the investor provides us with the authority to do
so, ensuring we maintain the investor's trust while also valuing a project's time

7) Once connected, we offer our support to both the project and the investor, assisting with all
requirements with the goal of ensuring a win-win investment.
