JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title Group Manager, Human Resources Job Code


Basic Function Responsible for the efficient and effective implementation and management of numerous
aspects of human capital. Develops relationships and promotes mutually beneficial partnerships
with employees and management. Participates with HR senior management in the development
of goals, objectives, strategies and policies consistent with the direction of the departmental
function head. Ensures excellent HR service to all levels of employees. Provides HR leadership
and expertise as employee advocate, change agent and general HR subject matter expert.
Accountabilities

Works collaboratively with HR management leadership and the general HR team to develop, implement and manage
policies, programs and services including: policies & procedures; recruitment & retention; compensation; performance
management; employee relations; employment litigation; regulatory compliance & reporting; employee &
organizational development; workforce & succession planning; employee communications.

Serves as internal consultant to managers, supervisors and employees on personnel issues that affect performance and
business relationships. Facilitates mission goals across teams at the organizational level.

Develops a strong understanding and appreciation of the company’s organizational structure, corporate culture and
business objectives in order to develop and implement HR programs and processes that are aligned with and sensitive
to the corporation’s organizational values and objectives.

Meets regularly with management to stay informed, to offer direction and support for inter-departmental projects and
to confer on organizational goals, objectives and policies.

Develops relationships and promotes mutually beneficial partnerships with employees, management and external
resources.

Assists in the preparation of annual departmental budget. Analyzes and controls expenditures of department to
conform to budgetary requirements. Responsible for maintaining expenditures and budgets to the extent authorized
and has the responsibility for such areas as head count controls.

Responsible for the management, development and administration of an effective recruitment program. Works closely
with business units to develop recruitment strategies while ensuring program deadlines and deliverables are met. Leads
recruitment efforts directly and through subordinate recruiting staff, reviewing resumes and applications, coordinating
interviews, interviewing candidates and providing input in final hiring decision.

Manages temporary/contract recruitment and staffing efforts. Builds and maintains partnership between company and
staffing agencies. Maintains vendor contracts. Reviews and recommends initiatives to meet market and company
demands.

Selects, directs, coaches and evaluates assigned staff. Develops standards of staff performance and sets annual
performance objectives. Ensures the quality and accuracy of employees’ work product and that staff meet performance
goals within designated time frame.

Assists in the creation, development and implementation of company policy and procedures. Interprets, enforces and
complies with Company policies, procedures and regulations.

Ensures state and federal protocols regarding data confidentiality/security and HIPAA compliance.

Maintains current knowledge of and interpretation of related human resources laws and regulations.

Maintains current knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the human resources field.

Required to maintain the confidential nature of all employees and company proprietary and privileged information
used or observed in the course of performing job duties.

Prepares and analyzes data relevant to assignments and in the course of fulfilling normal human resources related tasks.

Communicates pertinent information, needs and requests to others as appropriate.

Responsible for ISM management as part of the management of staff members, their work and workplace.

Responsible for the management of information security as part of the normal management of the business. Must
cooperate with the Company ISM professionals in implementing the information security policies within the
Company, and ensures that information is handled in compliance with the Global ISM related regulations.

Prepares reports, charts, graphs and other statistical information.

Will initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Scope and Competency Requirements
PROBLEM-SOLVING/KNOW HOW: (complexity of problems and education/experience & other knowledge required)
A four-year college degree required.
Minimum of five years successful experience at least at manager level.
Excellent proven leadership capabilities required.
Functional ability to operate a PC and appropriate software programs to accomplish specific duties.

effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions.
Ability to learn new duties and adjust to new situations encountered on the job within a reasonable amount of time.

Must have the ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
Must successfully complete any training or certification courses required to support or strengthen position.
Must have the ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures, and other related
materials.

COMMUNICATIONS:
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.
Must have the ability to effectively and appropriately interface and communicate with a variety of individuals or
groups on a frequent basis.

Manages staff including supervision, counseling, mentoring, performance standards and review, discipline, training
and employee development.
Maintains and improves employee morale.
Responsible for maintaining expenditures and budgets to the extent authorized and may have the responsibility of
inventory, capital investments or head count controls.

Ability to travel as required of the position.
