customers include Burger King, Goli Vada Pav, and Cafe Coffee Day, and more.
- The Indian foodtech industry is increasing customer dependence on food delivered
anytime and anywhere, along with investment. Zomato, a major foodtech player, has
joined the Unicorn Club, rival Zomato who is overtaking Zomato, and has entered
cab aggregator segments such as Ola and Uber - Ola has integrated with Foodganda
and Uber eats its own food delivery service Uber Hai.
- It has launched a pilot program for B2B food aggregation - a proposal called Shivaji
Cafe or Zomato Food Court that digitizes corporate cafeterias.
- Currently, the pilot service, which began three months ago, is being tested at two
corporate parks in Bangalore, including one at Zomato's headquarters.
- Zomato Café / Food Court allows corporate employees to use an app to order lunch
from selected cafeterias in corporate hubs. It works with vendors to map the flow
of incoming orders and inform customers when their order is ready, thus cutting
the waiting queue and making order flow more manageable.
- Mission:
- their mission is to change the way India eats.
Vision:
enhanced the quality of life by providing unparalleled convenience for urban consumers.
Zomato stores will give their merchant-partners unmatched access to a combination of core
assets to reach more current and new customers
How does Zomato makes money?
Business strategy:
- Zomato was a late entry into the online food delivery and ordering space in 2014, but
has now become a billion-dollar company and is now playing catch-up Zomato.
Zomato has its own growing fleet of delivery partners and is currently growing with
1.25 lakh active partners.
- This has allowed Zomato to deliver on its promise to deliver food to customers
within 30 minutes with just one tap. Zomato has recently launched Zomato Access
Kitchen, a ready-to- eat-kitchen kitchen with all the necessary amenities offered to
rent to restaurant partners for free, in terms of demand. To optimize their kitchen is
to provide assistance to restaurant owners. Forecasting, stock planning and order
edits etc.
- Customer analysis:
- Zomato has two major customers, the restaurants from which it takes commissions
as a delivery partner and the other customers are the people who order food through
the app. The main customer segments are those who do not want to go to eateries
and restaurants to buy food.
