Instructions:
Select your hydrometer gravity unit.
Boxes in pale yellow are optional.
Fill in the boxes highlighted in blue to arrive at the average wort correction factor at the bottom.
A quick example is provided on the second tab of this spreadsheet.
Important: Do not use wort that has been fermented to any degree. Alcohol will throw this off!

Recording Data Points:

Brix WRI is the wort reading from your refractometer (WRI = wort refraction index)
Take ~5x Brix WRI readings from the same wort, clear off the lens each time.
Hydrometer value will be the same for each Brix WRI reading from the same wort.
Hydrometer readings must be temperature corrected, and account for any offset.
Do this over the next few brew sessions to determine the average wort correction factor.

Before Each Brew Session:

Double check your refractometer calibration, should read zero in with water.

To get started with DME, make a solution approximately 20P, 1.083:

Mix 2 ounces of DME in 8 ounces of water. It is okay to be approximate.
(Same as 56.7 grams of DME in 250 ml of water.)
Wait 15-20 minutes for the solution to fully dissolve then being charting data points.

Results:
The average wort correction factor should be between 0.9 and 1.1.
