Raiser Turret Transportation from Profab Batam to Singapore
1. Introduction
Raiser Module (375MT) will be roll-on onto barge ‘Kreuz 284’ at Profab, Batam. The Raiser
Turret will be lashed down for ‘domestic’ trip from Batam to Singapore.
The aim of this report is to
1. Determine the existing lashing design according to the sea conditions
recommended by MWS (Marine Warranty Surveyor);
3. Recommend new lashing design, if the existing design is insufficient.
The ‘Stowage Plan’ is as follows.

Raiser Turret Transportation from Profab Batam to Singapore
4. Conclusion
The existing design of lashing is inadequate for securing cargo in barge motions.
The features for the new lashing design are as follows.
• Increase wire size to 22mm and MBL 305KN.
• Make lashing wire longer to reduce wire true angle to deck, to 30 degrees, in order to
enhance securing strength for lateral movement.
• Double up wires to minimize lashing points.
