Construct Ellipse, parabola, hyperbola by using eccentricity method and Draw cycloid curves K3
CO1
and involutes of square and circle for given dimensions.
Draw projections of points in all quadrants, projection of straight lines, polygonal and circular
CO2 planes in first quadrant when it is inclined to both the principal planes by using rotating object K3
method.
Draw projections of prism, pyramid, cylinder, cone and truncated solids when the axis inclined K3
CO3
to one of the principal planes using change of position method.

Draw the section of solids in simple vertical position when the cutting plane inclined to one of K3
CO4
principal planes and perpendicular to other and develop the lateral surfaces of sectioned solids.
Draw the isometric projection of prism, pyramid, cylinder, cone, truncated solids and combined
CO5 solids in simple vertical position and to sketch the perspective projections of above solids using K3
visual ray method.

Part-A(5X20=100 MARKS)
Construct an epicycloid with radius of rolling circle and radius of
1 a i CO1 K3 20 36
directing circle is equal to 40 mm.
OR

Draw the front view, top view and left side view for the component
shown in figure.

b i CO1 K3 20 36

A line AB 90 mm long has its end A 15 mm above HP and 20 mm in

front of VP. The other end B is 75 mm above HP and 65 mm in front
2 a i of VP. Draw the projection of line and find the true and apparent CO1 K3 20 36
inclinations with both HP and VP. Also find the lengths of the top view
and front view.
OR
A r e gul a r pe nta gona l l am i na of 30 mm si de r e st s on HP
on one of it s e dge s s uc h t ha t t he s ur fa c e of the l am i na

whe n t he e dge on HP ma ke s a n angl e of 30° wi t h VP.

3 a i Draw the projections of a cube having side length 30 mm resting on CO3 K3 20 36

the HP on one of its corners, with the solid diagonal through the
resting corner is perpendicular to the HP and parallel to the VP
OR
A pentagonal pyramid of base edge 25 mm and axis length 60 mm rest
b i on one base side on HP such that the highest base corner is 20 mm CO3 K3 20 36
above HP. Its axis is parallel to the VP. Draw its top and front views.

A pentagonal prism of 30 mm base side and height 50 mm is

standing on HP on its base, with one side of base perpendicular to
4 a i VP. This prism is cut by a section plane 40° inclined to HP through CO4 K3 20 36
mid-point of the axis. Draw the front view, sectional top view, and
sectional side view. Draw also the true shape of the section.
OR
A hexagonal prism of base side 25 mm and height 55 mm rests
with its base on HP such that one of its rectangular faces is parallel
to VP. This prism is cut by a plane perpendicular to VP, inclined at
b i CO4 K3 20 36
45° to HP and passing through the right corner of the top face of
the prism. Draw the sectional top view and development of lateral
surface of the truncated prism.

A sphere of radius 50 mm is kept centrally over a frustum of square

5 a i pyramid of side 120 mm at the bottom and 80 mm at the top and height CO5 K3 20 36
100 mm. Draw the isometric view of the assembly
OR
Draw the perspective view of a square prism of base side 20 mm and
height 35 mm resting on an end on the ground with a rectangular face
b i parallel to the picture plane. The axis of the prism is 25 mm behind the CO5 K3 20 36
picture plane and 25 mm to the right of the eye. The eye is 50 mm in
front of the PP and 50 mm above the ground
