Dino Crochet
Kerry Lord has developed a wonderful crochet toy animal
making system . The toys are safe for young children.
They sit up by themselves on a toy self. They are built to take real play.
But, most importantly, they make everyone smile.
Your first dinosaur will be made with Toft DK, a wool yarn that is
perfectly suited to toy making. The soft and squishy Toft yarn fills in
the spaces between stitches so that you can stitch with relaxed tension
and not worry about the stuffing peeking out between stitches.
Your kit includes Toft yarn for your first dinosaur, booklet for 15
dinosaurs, and stuffing. All you will need to bring to class is a Size C
crochet hook. This class will give you the skill set to work any
of the Toft designs for other animals, dolls, and imaginary creatures.

Whistlewood Vest
Kate is our specialist in nurturing newer knitters
through their very first garment
project . She’s happy to share the know-how
that will allow you to proudly wear that very first
garment. She’s selected this design by Susan Mills for
a shawl collared cardigan vest as an ideal project for
newbies. The bulky gauge yarn will make the project
work up quickly and be cozy and warm. The
thickness of the yarn will also show off the texture of
the wide seed stitch shawl collar and front opening.
The armholes and lower edge will finish with stocking
stitch in a gentle rolled edge.

Soldotna
Soldotna is a fresh, new take on the traditional, color
patterned, yoked sweater. The cap sleeves
and cropped length pair equally well with a dress or
jeans. If the cropped length is not for you, this top
down design is very easy to customize to get your
perfectly flattering length.
We’ll be using three different easy methods to
even out the dreaded jagged effect of color jog when
changing rounds in stranded color knitting. We’ll also
use a super easy increasing method which will improve
the look of the many increases in the yoke.
