The presentation strategy will be used for this lesson, the students will first be introduced to what will they
learn in coming weeks. Also, cooperative learning to have students learn from each other.

The Prezi presentation will have frequency adverbs with photos etc., and students will have a chance to see the
adverbs with examples of daily routines and activities so they can connect the material with their daily life.
Then, there will be a Kahoot quiz which will evaluate students and give the teacher an opportunity to
understand in which adverbs students need help.

The lecture starts with the presentation, while presenting the teacher will ask students to provide examples and
students will write examples in groups, then there’ll be a Kahoot quiz to evaluate students. In case of electricity
shortage, there will be printed out versions of the presentation and the quiz.

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan


The lesson will start by showing the Piktochart infographic to students in order to give them an overall
knowledge. After that, students will watch a short video about frequency adverbs via Powtoon. After first two
steps, students will have enough knowledge to understand and use frequency adverbs. The reading activity will
be held during class hour, and it will be followed by the storytelling activity.

After completing two hours of English lesson in this week, 7 th grade students will write a paragraph about their
daily activities by using frequency adverbs and they will learn how they can ask and answer questions about
their daily routines in pairs with no more than 15% frequency adverb mistakes.

Cooperative Learning and Direct Method will be used in this class. Students will practice with their peers and
they will learn from each other how they can ask and answer a question about their daily routines. By using
Direct Method, English is provided for speaking and writing language without any exception.

The lesson includes two specific parts. In the writing part, students will choose any sports figures that interests
them before the class and they will research the information about their daily activities and they will note on.
During the class time, students will write a short paragraph by reflecting their notes and using frequency
adverbs. In the speaking part, students will do pair and group work. They will ask questions about their daily
routines and answer them one by one.
Individual Learning Activities Students will choose a famous sports figure from their
own or another country and they will research about
his/her daily routines/activities. Then, they will write a
small paragraph about a famous sports figure’s daily
activities by using appropriate frequency adverbs.
Group Learning Activities Students will practice in small groups and pairs. They
will ask questions about each other’s daily activities
and each student will reply related to the frequency of
events.

Summary
The content of lesson will include writing and speaking parts. By using Cooperative Learning and Direct
Method, students will be required to write a short paragraph about one of the sportsmen’s daily activities by
emphasizing the frequency adverbs and ask and answer the questions one by one about their own daily
routines. Bubbl.us will be used to visualize the lesson for students. Students will be required to speak and write
only in English.
Measurement & Evaluation
In writing part, students will be evaluated for using appropriate frequency adverbs, correct grammatical
structures and basic/clear comprehension of their short paragraphs.
In speaking part, students will be evaluated for using correct and appropriate pattern structures for asking
questions and answers about their daily routines.

Individual Performance if s/he uses appropriate frequency adverbs within
grammatical sentences and if the comprehension of the
short paragraph is clear.

Explanation
Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
At the beginning of the lesson, the first concept map about the frequency adverbs will be presented as an
instructional material. Students who have learned the appropriate use of frequency adverbs previous lessons
will recall each adverb and reinforce their use according to their frequency percentages. Then, the teacher will
divide the class into small groups or the teacher will organize pair work according to the classroom settings.
The second concept map will be presented as an instructional material and the teacher will present the sample
questions and answers about daily activities of students by using frequency adverbs. Next, the students will be
required to give sample activities for their daily routines. Then, each member of group or each pair will try to
ask 3 questions and wait for his/her mate’s reply one by one. In this activity, students can use two example
questions from the concept map; however, one of the questions will be required to unique. During this speaking
activity, the teacher will check the appropriate use of adverbs, structures’ accuracy and grammar. At the end of
this activity, students will write a short paragraph about one of the famous sports figure’s daily activities. Pre-
research before the class time for this activity is essential and students will reflect their notes while writing. The
second concept map will be still on the board during the activity and students will check the structures.
Grammatical sentences, correct structures and appropriate use of frequency adverbs are required.
If this specific plan doesn’t work, at the beginning of the class, the teacher will distribute the printed handouts
which will include the same information from concept maps. The teacher and students will study and work via
handouts. Speaking activity will be done after the teacher will be sure about each student comprehension. In
addition, the writing activity will be postponed or be homework assignment. Instead of this, students will play a
game which will be designed as a revision. The teacher will write a list of sentences with inappropriate
frequency adverbs and students will required to correct each wrong sentence and they will be required to write
another correct one with another frequency adverb. By the time each students participates that activity, the
class will not have been over.
