TERMS & CONDITIONS (T & C)

1) Price quoted is strictly valid for the above mentioned items only. Any additional work done or materials consumed
(not listed / quoted) will be charged accordingly.
2) Any additional method or materials required to drive pile deeper / drive through hard layer shall be charged accordingly.
3) All quantity and penetration stated above are PROVISIONAL only. Actual quantity and paylength will be based on site
re-measurement. All piles will be installed to 2*SWL + 1*NSF (if any) or required set pressure regardless of penetration.
Geotechnical capacity justifications shall not be our responsibility if the pile design is done by others.
4) Piling work is assumed to be carried out continuously until completion without any interruption. Otherwise additional
costs will be charged for ' idling time ' or subsequent mobilisation and demobilisation.
5) The following are NOT INCLUDED / LIABLE in our scope of works & are to be provided / covered by your Company / Client :
5.1) Reasonable access for mobilisation, demobilisation and movement within the site for our piling machine including
sufficient clearances from existing structures and necessary hoisting facilities within site shall be provided.
5.2) Safe and stable working platform, reasonable levelled and flat ground topped with min. 300mm crushed hardcore
that is able to withstand our machineries load is required during piling operation, to avoid soil movement,
sinking of piling equipment etc.
5.3) ALL INSURANCE COVERAGE (INCLUDING EXCESS) during work-in-progress, mobilisation & demobilisation. WE SHALL
NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COMPENSATION OR WHATSOEVER; WHICH MAY BE CLAIMED BY ANY THIRD
PARTY OR LOCAL AUTHORITY CONCERNED. Any repair costs & damage to neighbouring properties eg. soil
movement / weakening / vibration / collapse that result in damage to slabs, columns, retaining structures, boundary
wall etc shall not be borne by us.
5.4) Setting out of pile position accurately (with safe distance away from the underground service, if any) and eccentricity
checks after piling, if undertaken by your Company / Client. Checking of eccentricity (ECC) for all piling point
immediately upon completion of piling work prior to commencement of your excavation work to avoid unnecessary
ECC out of tolerance issue.
5.5) Detection, protection and diversions etc of all existing underground services and damages to such services and
subsequent reinstatement. Application and cost for underground detection services for NCD and NCE (within
the vicinity of high voltage cable, when required) including fees charged by relevant authorities for their services
& attendance notwithstanding that Peck Brothers Construction Pte Ltd ("Peck Brothers") is named as the applicant
in the application to the relevant authorities. To carry out all necessary trial holes(if any) to ensure the piling locations
are cleared of all underground services & structures (MRT, railway tunnels etc). Reports and plan for NCD & NCE
application must be furnished to us. Your Company shall indemnify and cover us against any liabilities, claims and
charges, should our piling works affect, damage any underground services. For piling works carry out on public area,
your site-in-charge personnel to endorse on our indemnity form before commencement of piling works.
5.6) Hacking, removing and reinstatement of concrete surfaces and under/above ground obstructions.
5.7) All temporary works, excavation, marking of pile cut-off-level and pumping of water.
5.8) Obtain all necessary permits / clearance / licences from the relevant authorities before commencing of piling works.
5.9) Pre-construction Survey of surrounding premises. Hoardings, temporary struttings & subsequent reinstatement of site.
5.10) Resident Technical Officer's supervision and overtime claims.
5.11) Provision of supervisor trained in compliance with all Workplace Safety and Health Regulations or any subsequent
amendments thereto.
6) Kindly support us with Manyears Entitlement for our NTS workers' permit, upon awarded project to us.
7) In the event of any circumstance constituting Force Majeure, which is defined as act of God, or due to any cause beyond
Peck Brothers's control, such as market raw material shortages, unforeseen plant breakdown or labour dispute, our
duty to perform its obligations shall be suspended or limited until such circumstance ceases. In any event, Peck Brothers
shall not be liable in any way for loss or damage arising directly through or in consequence of such events or situations.

The followings are additional terms & conditions for this contract.
8) No headroom constraint.
9) All instrumentation and monitoring works (other than quoted) shall be done by Main-contractor.
10) Adequate storage space for our equipment and material shall be provided by Main-contractor.
11) In the event pile ECC are out-of tolerance, any enlargement of pilecap, stump, beam and additional beam
etc, claims shall only limit to S$300/m3 of net increase in volume of concrete inclusive of formwork, rebar,
equipment, labour and all associated costs.
12) Vector Control and traffic control incl. traffic diversion and provision of warning & traffic sign by others.
13) Protection & temporary works including retaining structures, planking, strutting, shoring and dewatering
to excavated slopes, basement if applicable, trenches during work-in progress or pile cutting off.
14) Main-contractor shall assist to lift the cut-off-pile section from the pit.
15) Please ensure all sewer inlet and connecting pipes are sealed completely to avoid seepage into the
system. We shall not be held responsible for any seepage into the systems.

The followings facilities and services are to be provided to us at no extra cost.

15) Drilling Slurry (sludge) shall be disposed off site by us and leftover earth on site by Main-contractor at no
cost.
16) Refuse bin shall be provided by Main-contractor to dispose debris and waste at no cost.
17) Washing bay, site toilets, shed, adequate water and power supply (for piling operation). Lighting for night
work when works is required.

18)The following materials shall be supplied by Main-contractor without any administrative charge and
remain fixed for the whole piling contract or duration if shortage of materials in the market:
i) Ordinary Portland Cement OPC 50kg/bag at S$120 per ton.
ii) Non-galvanized steel reinforcement straight bars Grade 500N/mm2 at S$430.00 per ton. Cost will be
deducted from respective progress claim.
