1. Open an approved shop drawings. This shop drawings consist of

approved
sanitary fixtures details and mechanical pipe sleeves location and
sanitary fixtures ventilation.in the shaft walls)
2. Waiting pipes, stub pipes and fittings from risers and underground
pipes should be present before starting inside the sanitary fixtures.
Hollow vertical shaft or duct located nearby the sanitary fixtures will not
be cover to work easily inside the building especially connection to the
risers.
3. Assign the location of pipes in the wall or floor that is exactly as
mention on the approved sanitary fixtures details shop drawing. Mark
with the line corresponds to the sanitary fixtures area to bury the pipe in
the wall or floor (for lavatory and A/C drain).
4. Use block cutter or simply portable grinder to cut a side of block
continuously along the line that had been marked. Absolute care should
be done not to cut or damaged the pre-installed pipe sleeves of sanitary
fixtures vents.
5. By using sharp- pointed steel rod and other proper chipping tools, chip
the block side to the thickness required to fixed the sanitary pipes.
6. Standard fittings and materials must be used and all pipes and fittings
must be joined using the approved glue. Sanitary tee fittings for vent be

details shop drawings.
10. Pipes and pipe fittings connection should be on the compacted fine

Excavate trenches to provide a clearance 200mm on each of the pipe.
2. Bedding to be compacted in layers not exceeding 150mm to give
uniform bed.
3. Lay the pipe directly on the bedding.
4. The pipes must be installed as indicated on the approved shop drawing
with the required invert level and proper slope using the approved
materials and fittings.
5. Trench is not to be open too far in advance of pipe laying and then
backfilled as soon as possible .
6. Use fine sand and compact fill firmly between the side of the pipe and
the trench.
7. Brick or hard materials under the pipe are not allowed to be used.
8. Provide a warning tape along the pipe and below the upper layer of the
sand.
9. Until the crown of the pipe is covered by at least two feet of a tamped
sand, considerable care shall be exercised in the back filling of trenches.
10. The underground pipe must comply with the manufacturer
recommendations for laying the underground pipes.

INSPECTION REQUEST OF MATERIALS (PIPEING AND FITTING AND ACCESSORIES)
1.Open an approved drawing detail for sanitary fixtures . This drawing should be accompanied with
the approved location of mechanical pipe sleeves sanitary fixtures ventilation.
2.Installation of pipes should be done after the block work inside the toilet.
3.Locate the pipe locations in the wall and mark with the line corresponds to the total area to bury
the pipe in the wall.
4.Use block cutter or simply portable grinder to cut a side of block continuously along the line that
had been marked. Absolute care should be done not to cut or damaged the pre-installed pipe
sleeves of fixture pipes.
5.By using sharp- pointed steel rod and other proper chipping tools, chip the block side to the
thickness required to fix the water pipes.
6.Use approved pipes, pipe fittings, and joining compound.

8.For pipes passing through the wall, install sleeves of size larger than the pipes serving it. Seal
annular space between sleeve and pipe using silicon sealant.
9. Install the pipes at designated height and location on the wall and on the floor.
10.Align the pipes horizontally and vertically without strain. Avoid pipe bending or sagging.
11- Pipes shall be installed by one of the following installation methods
A - For pipes that prove glue, the welding locations are cleaned well, then the welding is made and
the welding process is well
B - For pipes that prove that heat is achieved, the welding locations are thoroughly cleaned and the
welding machine is tested. The welding process is started.
13 - The valves are installed
14.Check the pipes securely and firmly fix on its location before leak testing.
15.Leak test the pipes and proved tight under a water pressure not less than 1½ its working
pressure under which it is to be used. Leak test the pipes for four (4) hours. Do not test the pipes
without the presence of inspection Engineer.

the building being tested for the entire network
18 - Installation of all accessories as well as sanitary appliances and taps after the completion of the
finishing work for the area where there are sanitary devices
19. The feeding station shall be installed from tarmac, taps, pressure gauges as well as desalination
plant, and the necessary tests shall be carried out to ensure the operation efficiency of the plant
and to provide the required amount for operation of the project with appropriate pressure.
