TPM is a production management method which has been
developed in Japan and is a holistic approach to equipment
maintenance that strives to achieve world-class production
with an aim to: zero machine breakdown, zero small stops or
slow running, zero defects, and zero accidents.
TPM emphasizes proactive and preventative maintenance to
maximize the operational efficiency of equipment. It blurs the
distinction between the roles of production and maintenance
by placing a strong emphasis on empowering operators to
help maintain their equipment.

Day 1: Fundamentals of TPM
Introduction, TPM Outline, 8 Pillars, TPM organization, JH
Steps, Step diagnosis, Loss Structure, OEE, KK Kaizen Story,
TPM Tools (OPL, safety Map, abnormality finding,
Kaizensteps, Why-Why Analysis)
Day 2: Factory Visit and Hands on observations and
exercises
Gemba Practice and Implementation of JH in a Factory by
participants, Hands-on activities and team presentation,
TPM Story Activity Board, T-Tags, TPM Exam
