ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

The completion of this research as well as this dissertation would not hane been possible

without the support and encouragement we received from our family, friends, colleagues, and

teachers. First, we would like to thank our research adviser, Mrs. Czarina May Aucena, for her

continued support, encouragement and guidance throughout our journey in the First Semester of

SY 2019-2020 at the Lyceum-Northwestern University. We owe her much gratitude for the huge

amount of growth we achieved in out knowledge of learning and leadership. We would also thank

her for providing expertise in quantitative methods and a much appreciated perspective and

framework on questioning. And especially, for providing us the formula and for helping us to

formulate and evaluate some undefined and difficult part of the study. We have enjoyed working

with them on this dissertation project and learned much from them about the kind of student and

researcher we want to be.

We would also thank our respective friends and families for their unending support to us

through our sleepless nights and having overnight in one of our member's house. However, after

those sleepless nights, we can rest even in a short period of time and fulfill our needed happiness.

We would not have finished this without all of your love and support.

Abstract

This study is conducted to quantitatively examine the impact of financial management in choosing

their career course among Grade 12 Accountancy and Business and Management students of

Lyceum-Northwestern University. Furthermore, this study sought answers on the significant

relationship between the factors like in their family, budget, scholarship, and academic

performance affecting the financial management of the students.

sdagerthThe study revealed that boys are more of a player compared to girls who often play games

that require more players like League of legends, Clash of clans and Mobile Legends. It also stated

that those who play online games are around 15-16 years old who are who are believe to be in the

Grade 11 level. These students who often play games do not affect their grades badly for they

know how to limit themselves. They know that they need to control themselves in order to

function well in their class that is why they only play mostly of the night compared when they

have classes.

Even though they play online games; they know how to socialize well. However it is inevitable not

to play even for half an hour especially when they accustomed to it.

Therefore, it is just a matter of discipline.
