Oscar Daniel Gómez Figueroa

DATE OF BIRTH: JUNE 13, 1996.

AGE: 23

Puebla, México.

I started my musical education in 2009, at the age of 13 as a

trumpet player in my school’s marching band named Aguilas
Doradas (Golden Eagles) which has some international experience
and national prestige.
In the year 2012 we traveled to Europe to do some gigs in a festival that occurs in Murcia, Spain, the festival is called
Entierro de la Sardina (Burial of the Sardine).

The band also has an alternative projects such as a Symphonic Band, and a Symphonic Orchestra, there I started to
develop some deepest musical concepts.
In 2104, when I finished my time in this band, I started playing in a musical project named Esperanza Azteca which has
Orchestras in the whole country, I loved being there and it was a challenge due to the musical repertory (mostly classical).

In 2015 I took a break from the music and stopped playing until 2017. In the meanwhile, I went to college and studied
International Business at Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla.
When I decided to return to my trumpet playing, I was still studying my business career, so I didn’t pay too much
attention to the music as a job, but I enjoyed playing in small groups with my friends.

My trumpet playing improved when I started playing in a mariachi band in the beginning of 2018, I fell in love with the
musical genre, and then with the music as a lifestyle since I spend most of my time rehearsing and working.
Later that year I began to play with several groups, at weddings and all kind of events.
In June I decided to risk it all and dedicate my life to the music, so I dropped my business career cause it had me
frustrated, and then I started to study Musical Production in Colegio MAP in Puebla, I am currently studying there and my
life changed a lot for good.
In the final months of 2018 I was invited to play with a local band named La Carlota Latinrock, we play ska, reggae, rock,
cumbia, salsa, and latin fusion genres.
La Carlota brought me a lot of experience as a showman in front of big audiences, the most recent was in Festival del
Globo in Va’Quirico, Puebla in front of almost 15,000 persons.
To this day it has been very fun playing with them, and very challenging as well due to the prestige of the 17 years old
band.
I am very committed with my musical career and I expect to keep on growing as trumpet player, songwriter and producer.
