Sliding pipe guides with integral clamps, featuring dual stainless steel and Teflon@)slide bearings. Designed to
accurately control axial thermal pipe expansion / contraction and minimize frictional loads at anchor locations.
Product Application
Installation of CSSA guides is recommended for systems
with long horizontal pipe runs where the temperature of
the fluid medium or the external environment is subject
to variation. These protect the piping system by:
Permitting axial thermal movement while minimizing
movement in other planes and preventing buckling.
Significantly reducing frictional forces, which create a
high level of stress at anchor points, pipe joints etc.
Typical examples include: Water Distribution networks,
Oil/LNG pipelines, District Cooling I Heating pipelines,
HVAC piping in buildings with large ground areas, Water
Reclamation plants, Refineries, Process Piping, Sewage
Treatment plants, Power plants etc.

Steel load distribution shields with flared ends, for protection of insulation from damage at pipe support locations.
Product Features
IPS shields are designed for installation outside rigid
insulation inserts, at pipe support locations where it is
considered necessary to distribute the concentrated
load over a larger area. They are generally needed
where low load-bearing capacity inserts are used to
protect insulation - such as foamed products, high
density insulation blocks, calcium silicate etc.
Usage outside WEICCO Rubber Support Inserts (RSI)
for installations where the insulated pipe is supported
on rollers is also a typical application of the shields.

A convenient and effective means of preventing crushing of insulation at pipe support points of chilled water,
condenser water and domestic hot / cold water installations. Available for any pipe size and insulation thickness.
Product Features
Based on long experience as specialists in pipe
support systems, WEICCO pioneered the concept
of using high density moulded rubber to prevent
crushing of pipe insulation at support points.
RSI offer significant advantages over other
materials such as wood or foamed products:
a) Resistance to deterioration / distortion with
time and exposure to moisture.
b) Eliminate need for termite control treatment, as
required for wood.
c) Rubber being an inert material, RSI are not
corrosive to metal pipes, as wood is.
d) Dimensional accuracy is ensured since each
set is individually machine molded.
e) It is an eco-friendly product - does away with
the need to fell trees just to make pipe rings.
f) Installation of additional metal shields for wider
load distribution is not required with RSI, as it
is for foamed products.
WEICCO Rubber Support Inserts are fully tested
and guaranteed for minimal distortion under
large pipe loads. Excessive distortion and opening
up of rubber support inserts under load has often
been observed on some other brands.
Important Note
a) Standard widths of our RSI, which go up to
1OOmmfor large sizes, have been decided
based on extensive load testing. Some offer
lower widths, for a price advantage or due to
manufacturing constraints. Not only does this
severely compromise load bearing capacity, it
also leads to the problem of width of the insert
being less than the hanger itself.
b) To compensate for width compromises or poor
moulding, some manufacturers insert steel into
the rubber for more load bearing capacity. This
must be avoided since it drastically increases
thermal conductivity of the product.
The 'Tongue & Groove' locking arrangement
between RSI halves saves time / labor and
eliminates possibility of air-gaps or relative shift,
thereby minimising loss of insulation efficiency.
Usage of RSI at pipe support locations provides
the additional benefit of noise attenuation, since
the rubber acts as an acoustic barrier against the
structural transmission of high frequencies.
RSI form an integral, coordinated part of our pipe
Figure 5
support system. Available for any common pipe
size / insulation thickness, they are compatible for
use with our extensive range of various types of I
supports. Using RSI with matching WEICCO pipe Examples of typical Pipe Support installations with RSI
hangers / supports serves to simplify, speed up
and enhance the quality of piping installations.

Pipe supports featuring high deflection springs assembled into steel casings equipped with compression
adjustment mechanism. Permit vertical thermal movement of pipe while ensuring a low variability factor.
Product Application
J!C===;-- Suspension Rod 'd'
Vertical thermal movement of pipe can cause excessive transfer of (by others)
pipe weight to adjacent equipment connections, support points and
anchors, thereby creating unsafe stresses in the piping system and
on building structure. WVSS are flexible supports that minimize this
transfer of load by using compression springs to continually adjust
the supporting force throughout the expansion / contraction cycle.
Typica/ piping systems where WE/CCO WVSS are recommended:
Oil Refineries, Petrochemical pipelines, Process Industries, District
Cooling / Heating plants, HVAC Riser Circuits (CHW / Hot Water /
Condenser Water), Water Treatment, Power Generation.

This is achieved through high spring diameter to

SMFS spring mounts are designed to withstand a
~ minimum of 1g seismic force in all three axes.
Steel frame with resilient neoprene snubber and
dual vertical restraint plates limit movement of the
equipment to appx 3mm in any direction from
neutral position. This:
a) Protects connected piping if equipment mass
reduces during operation / maintenance, by
limiting upward movement of springs.
b) Minimizes amplification of input accelerations
during seismic events.
All-directional neoprene snubbers prevent hard
surface contact, which can amplify seismic input,
between the leveling bolt and steel frame.
The neoprene insert in lower cup and 7 - 10mm

MLP pads are the ideal solution for applications where pad type mountings are to be used. Featuring multiple
patterned rubber sheets separated by steel load distribution plates, they provide significantly better isolation of
noise and vibration than single sheet pads.
Product Features
Pad comprises multiple layers of resilient rubber in
series. This permits higher deflection under load than
feasible with a single layer.
Load distribution plates ensure full pad area is used
and give more linear load-deflection characteristics.
WEICCO Ribbed Multi-layer Pad (MLP-R)
a) Unique Diagonal Ribs help to distribute applied
load evenly over larger area of pad surface.
b) Alternating raised ribs extend pad load range.
c) Ribs above and below pad are at right angles to
each other, thereby forming non-skid surfaces Ribbed Multi-layer Pad (MLP66R I MLP44R)
which resist creeping of the equipment.
WEICCO Square Cell Multi-layer Pad (MLP-SC)
a) Square Cell pattern has a higher load bearing
capacity than ribbed.
b) The grid design creates 'suction pockets' for
better grip on equipment / floor surface.
c) The suction pockets make the pad more
effective for noise attenuation than ribbed pads.
d) Solid cell periphery extends pad life by
preventing ingress of external contaminants.

Sealed against Contaminants - The square cells
form suction pockets which effectively seal the pad
from external contaminants. Advantages of WMP over Cork Sandwich Pads
WEICCO Modular Pads are far superior to rubber-cork
sandwich pads, as explained below:
Isolation Capability - Unlike rubber, cork lacks
resilience - the key property required for any material
to function as a vibration isolator. It sets permanently
once load is applied and does not regain its original
shape. Therefore, it cannot function as an isolator.
Durability - Cork disintegrates into granules in a
short time. Moulded rubber has a much longer life.
Exposure to moisture affects cork adversely. WMP
pads are water resistant.
Susceptibility to attack - Being an organic material,
cork is attacked by rodents and termites. Rubber is
resistant to these.

WEICCO Fabric Reinforced Pads are specialised noise, vibration and shock control elastomeric pads
designed for extra heavy duty applications.
Product Application
Primarily recommended for attenuation of structurally
transmitted noise in heavy duty applications where
loading is beyond the range of conventional
elastomeric pads. Multiple layer construction makes
FRP very effective in controlling audible range
frequencies, even with small pad thickness. Since the
pad is highly resilient, it also serves to dampen
mechanical vibration produced by heavy equipment I
shock loading. The efficiency of vibration isolation is a
function of deflection and therefore dependent on the
pad thickness used. Please refer to the deflection

EXPANSION JOINTS /
FLEXIBLE CONNECTORS
Expansion joints / flexible connectors for pipe up to 50mm, featuring exclusive forged steel threaded flanges
and unique configuration options for connecting steel pipe directly to copper / brass pipe or equipment headers.
Rugged leak-proof and slippage-proof design.
Product Application
Installation of Versaflex is recommended as expansion
joints within the piping system and at connection points
of piping with mechanical equipment. These:
Compensate for axial, transverse and angular pipe
movements - thereby protecting the system from
stresses and damage due to thermal expansion and
contraction of piping, minor pipe misalignment and
hydraulic surge effects.
Eliminate need for pipe expansion loops that are
expensive and require considerable space.
Significantly reduce noise and vibration transmitted
in the system through pipe walls.
Allow vibration isolators to function properly, by
providing flexibility at equipment connection. Versaflex with threaded connections for steel
Cushion water hammer by expanding volumetrically, pipe ('VF' - supplied as standard)
thus protecting against sudden startup / surge forces
or shocks.
Typical examples of usage include:
At inlet and outlet of HVAC equipment - FCUs, small
AHUs, Pumps, Condensers, HEX.
In HVAC chilled / hot water piping - risers, circulation
lines, across building expansion joints.
Process Piping, Power Plants, Water Distribution etc.
Product Features
WEICCO Versaflex have forged steel flanges, which
are not offered by any other manufacturer. Being much
stronger than cast / malleable iron (which is supplied
by others), forged steel eliminates any possibility of
r">. leakage in operation or breakage during tightening.
Versaflex with brass couplers for brazing to
Triangular threaded floating flange design offers copper I brass pipe (add suffix 'Be')
safety, reliability and convenience over union type
design (please see comparison overleaf).
Special extra-wide lips of bellow prevent slippage.
Each unit is individually tested at 150% of rated
maximum working pressure before leaving works.
Available with sweat-end or threaded brass couplers.
Available with brass coupler fitted at one end and steel
flange at the other (please see 'Options' overleaf). This
unique configuration, a WEICCO innovation, serves as
both a flexible connection and a dielectric union. It
is particularly recommended for connecting steel pipe
to Fan Coil Unit headers.
Rugged and flexible construction, that eliminates need
for any external metal rings or steel reinforcement in
the bellows.

PIPING ACCESSORIES
WEICCO Dielectric Unions / Flanges provide a convenient, cost effective means of protecting piping systems
with dissimilar metals from deterioration due to galvanic corrosion. WEICCO offers the largest range of sizes
and connection options of Dielectric couplers available from any source.
Product Application
Based on their electropositivity and relative position on
the Periodic Table of Elements, metals exhibit anodic
or cathodic properties when coupled with other metals
in the presence of an electrolyte, such as water. The
natural flow of electrons from the anode (metal with
higher electrical potency) to the cathode creates a
permanent current which corrodes the anode at the
joint. This is known as galvanic corrosion. The degree
of corrosion is a function of the extent of dissimilarity
between the two metals, the electrical conductivity of
the fluid medium and fluid temperature.
r>. For example, direct coupling of MS pipe with Copper /
Brass will lead to rapid deterioration of the MS pipe at
the joint. Since steel is the more anodic of the metals,
it will sacrifice itself to protect the copper surface.
Left unchecked, this corrosion can cause perforations
in the piping, potentially leading to system failure and
large maintenance expenses. Corrosion caused by
stray electrical currents and induced currents due to
heavy electrical equipment in the vicinity can further
aggravate the damage.
WEICCO Dielectric Unions / Flanges permit joints to
be made between dissimilar metals in piping systems,
while ensuring dielectric insulation between them. The
joint so formed is fully protected against corrosion.
Accordingly, usage of WEICCO Dielectric couplings is
recommended wherever a joint is required between
pipes of different metals. In a convenient and cost
effective manner they contribute significantly towards:
~ Extending the lifespan of piping installations
Improving system reliability
Insuring against unexpected maintenance costs

Product Features
Durable construction - made from Nylon, which is
a rugged and non-corroding material.
NIH feature unique serrated pins, to ensure that
the washer is firmly and permanently retained in
place once applied.
WEICCO nylon hangers offer some significant
advantages over metal hangers.
a) Any external finish can be applied smoothly
over the trimmed nylon pins without risk of
puncturing the vapour barrier.
Metal pins can puncture the vapour barrier
finish, resulting in failure of the insulation.
b) Trimmed nylon pins are safe for installers.
In contrast, the sharp pins of metal hangers
represent a safety hazard during installation
and maintenance.
c) Since nylon is a poor heat conductor (unlike
metal), there is no chance of condensation
being caused by the hangers.
NIH hangers are designed for fixing to substrate
with blind rivets, adhesive or other mechanical
fixing methods. This makes the installation more
durable than self-adhesive type hangers, which
get separated from the base over time because
of deterioration of adhesive tape. The loss of Installation
