1. DIFFERENTIATION IN SUPPLY OF MATERIALS –SCHEDULE A

1.1 GENERAL

1.1.1 With reference to the definitions contained in C3 and details contained in C6.3, the
Contractor is required to Source Materials in accordance with principles set therein.

1.2 DIFFERENTIATION

1.2.1 The below Schedules shall not include Supply rates unless stated otherwise:
 Schedule G – Wellheads, Flowlines and Headers – Mechanical Equipment.

1.2.2 The following Schedules are all inclusive Rates including Materials:
 Schedule B - Wellheads, Flowlines, Pipelines and Headers – Earthworks.
 Schedule C - Wellheads, Flowlines, Pipelines and Headers – Drilling Rig Locations.
 Schedule D - Wellheads, Flowlines, Pipelines and Headers - Concrete Works.
 Schedule E - Wellheads, Flowlines, Pipelines and Headers – Steelwork.
 Schedule F - Wellheads, Flowlines, Pipelines and Headers – Fencing and Gates.

2. EARTHWORKS - WELLHEADS, FLOWLINES, PIPELINES AND HEADERS –


SCHEDULE B

2.1 GENERAL:

2.1.1 Unless otherwise stated all materials shall be supplied by the Contractor.
2.1.2 Items measured as extra over shall cover only the additional cost over the original items.
2.1.3 Rate for excavation shall be deemed to include, unless otherwise stated in individual
descriptions, for excavation by whatever means are necessary, including hand excavation, in
all type of grounds. The method of excavation shall generally be at the sole discretion of the
Contractor.
2.1.4 Hand excavation shall be paid only if specifically instructed by the Company and shall be
deemed to include additional labour & using pickaxes/hand shovels etc.. .
2.1.5 Excavation in rock includes broken up in place by blasting or by pneumatic jack hammering or
by a hydraulic rock hammer or with chisels before it can be removed.
2.1.6 Contractor shall immediately inform Company and authorise rock encountered on detailed
sketches. Company shall be the final arbiter in deciding whether the ground is rock or not.
2.1.7 If specifically instructed by the Company for hand excavation and the Contractor encounters
rock, then the Contractor shall be paid for hand excavation up to the level of rock encounter
and rock excavation for the balance depth from the level of rock encounter.
2.1.8 Voids caused by foundations, pipes and the like shall be deducted from the excavation and
backfill quantities.
2.1.9 Excavation shall be measured from natural ground level or levels agreed between the
Company and the Contractor.
2.1.10 Excavation shall be measured net from the drawing and no allowance shall be measured for
overbreak or working space. Excavation width and depth for trenches for pipework and cables
shall be measured as per the dimensions shown on the applicable drawings. The volume
measured shall be the volume occupied by the foundation plus the volume vertically above it.
2.1.11 Filling shall be measured as the net volume of the void to be filled i.e. filling shall not be
measured to working space, overbreak and trench widths in excess of those shown on the
drawings.
2.1.12 Grade and level shall include preparing, watering, rolling and compacting including incidental
cutting, filling and disposal.

2.2 EXCAVATION

Excavation Rates shall additionally include the following:


2.2.1 Excavating trial holes and use of cable/metal/radio detectors and the like to locate
underground services.
2.2.2 Carefully locating and excavating around existing above and below ground level services
including foundations, cables, flowlines, headers, pipelines and the like.
2.2.3 Excavating above or below the water table level including keeping excavations free from
general and percolating water.
2.2.4 Provision of support to excavation as required.
2.2.5 Overbreak, including backfilling with mass concrete to the levels required by the Company.
2.2.6 Trimming, grading, ramming and compacting sides and bottoms of excavations to produce
level surfaces or surfaces to slopes or falls including trimming excavation in rock.
2.2.7 Bulking and all associated items.

2.2.8 Stockpiling excavated material as required.

2.3 REMOVAL AND BACKFILLING:

2.3.1 Rate for removal of surplus excavated materials from site and disposal as directed by the
Company shall include for materials arising from excavation and rock excavation.
2.3.2 Rate for excavated material backfilled into excavations or in making up levels shall include for
necessary excavation or re-excavation, importing and handling, spreading, levelling and
trimming, watering and compacting, grading to slopes and cross-falls and forming battered
faces and forming sinkings.
2.3.3 Rate for granular material or sand backfilled into excavations as bed or surround to pipe and
cable shall include for necessary excavation, importing and handling, spreading, levelling and
trimming.
2.3.4 Rates for removal and disposal of sand dunes shall include for removal by any means other
than sand sucking machine or by sand sucking machine and disposal as directed by the
Company.
2.3.5 Rates for removal of windrow shall include for excavating in soil including boulders by any
means and stockpiling excavated material as required.
2.3.6 Rates for reinstating or forming windrow with material arising from excavations or previously
removed windrow shall include for necessary re-excavation, handling and forming windrow.
2.3.7 Rates for forming windrow with excavated/imported material shall include for necessary re-
excavation or excavation, importing and forming windrow.
2.3.8 Rates for removal, disposal and cleaning of water, waste, cellar (all type) and valve pits
includes Removal & Reinstating of cellar gratings/Chequered plate and disposal of sand /
Debris / sludge /oil to the designated Area of North Oman.

2.4 GRADE AND LEVEL OVERSITE

2.4.1 Rate for grade and level existing area (such as Drilling Rig Location, Camp Site,..and the like)
shall additionally include for preparing, grading, watering, Rolling, levelling and compacting
including incidental cutting, filling and disposal. Rate for grade and level oversite shall include
for preparing, grading, levelling and disposal including incidental cutting, filling and disposal.
2.4.2

2.5 RAMP CROSSING

2.5.1 Ramps crossings Rates shall include any additional excavation, disposal, filling with selected
material, watering, compacting, making slope, all Blasting and coating as per standard drawing
with additional 2m on each sides of the ramp.
2.5.2 Length of ramp crossings shall be the horizontal straight distance along the ground level
between the entry and exit of the Flowlines or Pipelines into and from the ramp for single
Flowline or Pipeline.
2.5.3 For multiple line pipes, the prorata shall be derived from the vertical cross sectional area of
single line pipe ramp to the multiple line pipe ramp.

2.6 EXCAVATION, SAND PADDING, BACKFILLING AND DISPOSAL FOR ELECTRICAL,


INSTRUMENTATION, CONTROL AND EARTHING CABLES

New or Existing Excavation, Sand Padding, Backfilling and Disposal for Electrical,
Instrumentation, Control and Earthing Cables:
2.6.1 Electrical, instrumentation, control and earthing cable trenching shall in accordance with
drawings STD-4-0102-01 „D‟ and STD-5-0801-017 „C‟.

2.6.2 Cross sectional area (width & depth) for excavation shall be as referred in the relevant
Purchase Order drawings or Scope of Service and if these are not specified, then the cross
sectional area shall be derived from the Standard drawings STD-4-0102-01 „D‟ and STD-5-
0801-017 „C‟.
2.6.3 Rates shall include for all relevant items included in clauses 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 above and
additionally include the following:
2.6.4 Hand excavation at specific instructions of the Company and excavation in all type of grounds
including rock.
2.6.5 Additional excavation, disposal, sand padding and backfill necessary for cable loops at entry
and exit points.
2.6.6 Stock board plastic cable tiles.
2.6.7 PVC cable warning tape.
2.6.8 Cable route markers complete as per drawings STD-4-0106-001 „F‟ or STD-5-0801-019 „A‟ and
number of cable route markers as per site requirement and Specifications.
2.6.9 Remove and set aside and install previously removed and set aside cable route markers,
concrete or stock board plastic cable tiles as applicable.
2.6.10 Cable road crossing of overhead lines Rate shall be applicable only for section „A-A‟ as per drg
STD-4-1247-001 „B‟.
2.6.11 Hand excavation at specific instructions of the Company and excavation in all type of grounds
including rock.
2.6.12 21N/MM² plain vibrated sulphate resisting concrete.
2.6.13 150 MM diameter heavy gauge PVC pipes.

2.7 WADI CROSSINGS, SLOPING TRENCHES AND SACK BREAKERS

Rates for all above Excavations for Wadi Crossings, Sloping Trenches and Sack
Breakers for Pipelines and Headers Pipework and Fittings as per Pipeline
Specifications, SP-1208 shall additionally include the following:
2.7.1 Rates shall include all relevant requirements of clauses 2.2 and 2.3 above and shall additionally
include for additional excavation for wadi crossing including associated sand padding,
backfilling including selected backfill of maximum 300 MM size rock and disposal, gabions
boxed in wire mesh, continuous reinforced concrete protection, marker signs and posts on
either side of the wadi crossing, HDPE ducting for FOC cable and the like and all other Works
as detailed in the drawings.
2.7.2 Rate for sloping trenches with all additional excavation including associated sand padding,
backfilling and disposal for Carbon Steel Pipework and Fittings shall include all relevant
requirements of clauses 2.2, 2.3 and 2.6 above.
2.7.3 Construction of sack breakers shall be as detailed in drawings and shall be measured per sack
beaker.

2.8 GRADED ROADS

2.8.1 Rates for Graded Roads shall be fully inclusive and shall additionally include the selection of
suitable borrow pits, contouring of borrow pits after use, strip unsuitable site overburden and
disposal, excavation by whatever means necessary, including hand excavation and excavation
in rock and disposal, lay and compact fill material, compaction tests, level surveys, final
grading and taking all necessary safety measures e.g. watchmen, safety barriers, warning
signs, night warning lights and road closures / diversions. The rates shall also include
providing any type of sign board whenever required as per road standards.
2.8.2 Construct field / exploration road on any terrain shall include Sub base 150mm type B-1
granular fill material and Road base 150 mm type B-1 granular fill material including grading,

levelling and disposal including incidental cutting, filling and disposal.


2.8.3 Rate for grade and level to form right of way/pipe track shall include for preparing, grading,
disposal and constructing right of way with suitable ground contours acceptable to the
Company including, incidental cutting, filling, watering, compaction and disposal. Temporary
ramp and protection slab and the like shall be contractor‟s responsibility. Rate for varying
width of right of way/pipe track shall be extrapolated based on 6.0M wide listed Rate.

2.1 GRADED ROAD REPAIR WORKS

2.1.1 Rates for graded road repairs shall additionally include for cutting back the line of the
damaged surface to a firm line, the removal of all loose materials and further excavation of
100 mm in the sub-base material, removal & disposal of excavated materials to COMPANY
designated area, filling and compacting with new imported granular material to correct depth
and specification and taking all necessary safety measures e.g. watchmen, safety barriers,
warning signs, night warning lights and road closures/diversions.

2.2 GRADED ROAD RESHEETING WORKS

2.2.1 Rates for graded road re-sheeting works shall additionally include for cutting back the entire
top damaged surface to a firm line, the removal of all loose materials and further excavation of
100 mm in the sub-base material, removal & disposal of excavated materials to Company
designated area, filling and compacting with new imported granular material to correct depth
and specification and taking all necessary safety measures e.g. watchmen, safety barriers,
warning signs, night warning lights and road closures/diversions.
2.2.1.1 Repair /fix sign board to the existing post and paint existing sign of any type as per
specifications includes all necessary clamps, bolts, nuts and washers.
2.2.2 Remove and set aside or remove and set aside and store road traffic signs at Company or
Contractor yard shall additionally include for transportation and cleaning and storing clamps,
bolts, nuts and washers.

2.1 CONSTRUCTION OF NEW ASPHALT ROAD

2.1.1 Rates for construction of new Asphalt Road shall include for design, surveying, levelling,
grading, removal of loose sand and hard or soft soil,cutting filling earth compact road fill
works to make up levels road surface to a firm line, disposal of excavated materials, filling and
compacting to correct depth and specification for the embankment filling and sub-grade level
including the required backfilling at the sides of culverts, application of new road surfacing
including supply of required type of materials to complete the works as per Company spec SP-
1279-R. The rates shall also include providing speed beakers and any type of sign board
whenever required as per road standards and marking the road with all required marking (like
arrows, yellow lines at both side of the road, middle white dotted, straight lines, zebra
crossings, merging and diverging lines, etc.)
2.1.2 The Rates shall additionally include the selection of suitable borrow pits, contouring of borrow
pits after use, strip unsuitable site overburden and disposal, excavation by whatever means
necessary, including hand excavation and excavation in rock and disposal, lay and compact fill
material, compaction tests, level surveys, final grading and taking all necessary safety
measures e.g. watchmen, safety barriers, warning signs, night warning lights and road
closures/diversions including but not limited to preparation of an area adjacent to the road for
adequate traffic movement.

2.2 ASPHALT ROADS REPAIR WORKS

2.2.1 Rates for executing road repairs in Asphalt Roads shall additionally include for cutting back the
line of the damaged road surface to a firm line, cutting, removal & disposal of existing asphalt
pavement to Company designated area, the removal of all loose materials and further
excavation of 100 mm in the sub-base material, disposal of excavated materials, scarify, re-
grade, filling and compacting with new imported granular material to correct depth and

specification, application of new road surfacing including supply of required type of materials
to complete the works as per Company specification SP-1279R. The rates shall also include
providing speed beakers whenever required and marking the road with all required marking
(like arrows, yellow lines at both side of the road, middle white dotted and straight lines, zebra
crossings, merging and diverging lines, ..etc) taking all necessary safety measures e.g.
watchmen, safety barriers, warning signs, night warning lights and road closures / diversions.
Separate payment shall not be applicable for any type of excavation, cutting, filling and
compaction with new imported granular materials and disposal of excavated materials to make
up road levels. The measurement shall be calculated as per actual length of road repair works
carried out as per instruction and approval of Company Site Representative.

2.3 CONSTRUCTION OF NEW OR REPAIR ASPHALT WORKS

2.3.1 Rates shall be applicable for other asphalt works such as additional asphalt road works for
junction bell mouths, roundabouts, car parks etc., depth or thickness of road layers (apart
from sub-grade and embankment filling) are greater than the above stipulated requirements.
Example for calculation of new Asphalt Road variations:
a. Assuming the rate for selected imported granular Type B material as fill in road sub-base
compacted in layers is OMR 1.100 per m2, and required finished to falls or cross falls 250mm
thick:
i. Additional cost per m² to be reimbursed = (50mm x OMR 1.100/ m²) ÷ 200mm =
R.O. 0.275.
b. Assuming the rate for asphaltic concrete base course paving is OMR 7.207 per m² and
required to cross falls 60mm thick:
i. Additional cost per m² to be reimbursed = (10mm x OMR 7.207 / m²) ÷ 50mm = R.O.

2.3.2 Rates shall additionally include for cutting back the line of the asphalt surface to a firm line,
the removal of existing asphalt pavement and all loose materials and further excavation of 100
mm in the sub-base material, disposal of excavated materials for the repair work when
required. The rates shall also include providing speed beakers whenever required and marking
the asphalt with all required marking (like arrows, yellow lines at both side of the road, middle
white dotted and straight lines, zebra crossings, merging and diverging lines, car park lines
..etc) and taking all necessary safety measures e.g. watchmen, safety barriers, warning signs,
night warning lights and road closures/diversions including but not limited to preparation of an
area adjacent to the road for adequate traffic movement. The measurement shall be
calculated as per actual area of asphalt works carried out as per instruction and approval of
Company Site Representative (CSR).
2.3.3 For the new asphalt Rates shall also include for design, surveying, levelling, grading, removal
of loose sand and hard or soft soil, cutting filling earth compact road fill works to make up
levels road surface to a firm line, disposal of excavated materials, filling and compacting to
correct depth and specification for the embankment filling and sub-grade level including the

2.4 ASPHALT MINOR REPAIR WORKS

Rates for executing minor asphalt repairs in Asphalt Roads, asphalt car park or any other
asphalt surfaces like pot holes, patch works (not exceeding 1 M2 per pot hole or batch) shall
additionally include for cutting back the line of the damaged asphalt surface to a firm line, the
removal of existing asphalt pavement and all loose materials and further excavation of 100
mm in the sub-base material, disposal of excavated materials, scarify, re-grade, filling and
compacting with new imported granular Type-B and Type-A materials to correct depth and
specification, apply surface treatment double bituminous, asphalt, concrete base and wearing
course to match the existing asphalt roads. The rate shall also include for the application of
new asphalt surfacing including supply of required type of materials to complete the works as
per instruction of CSR and Company specification SP1279R. The rates shall also include
providing speed beakers whenever required and marking the asphalt with all required marking
(like arrows, yellow lines at both side of the road, middle white dotted and straight lines, zebra
crossings, merging and diverging lines, car park lines ..etc) and taking all necessary safety
measures e.g. watchmen, safety barriers, warning signs, night warning lights and road
closures/diversions including but not limited to preparation of an area adjacent to the road for
adequate traffic movement. The measurement shall be calculated as per actual area of asphalt
repair works carried out as per instruction and approval of Company Site Representative
(CSR).

3. DRILLING RIG LOCATION – SCHEDULE C

3.1 GENERAL:

3.1.1 Unless otherwise stated all materials shall be supplied by the Contractor.
3.1.2 Items measured as extra over shall cover only the additional cost over the original items.
3.1.3 Drilling Rig Location Preparation shall include all relevant requirements of clauses 2.1, 2.2, 2.3
and 2.6 above.
3.1.4 Engineering, Design and update to Company system shall be included under relevant unit rate.
3.1.5 Terrain – Plain, Undulating or Jebel:
3.1.6 Plain Terrain
Terrain is defined as Plain when, within the perimeter, the difference in elevation between the
lowest natural ground area and the highest natural ground area, each area measuring 10% of
the total area, is less than 1.5 metre. Small peaks and pits are excluded.
3.1.7 Undulating Terrain
Terrain is defined as Undulating when, within the perimeter, the difference in elevation
between the lowest natural ground area and the highest natural ground area, each area
measuring 10% of the total area, is more than 1.5 metre but less than 3.0 metre. Small peaks
and pits are excluded. Contractor shall note the following:
a) Company may elect to have any loose material such as sand and rubble removed on day
rates and then to pay Contractor rate for Plain Terrain to complete the location.
3.1.8 Jebel Terrain
Terrain is defined as Jebel when, within the perimeter, the difference in elevation between the
lowest natural ground area and the highest natural ground area, each area measuring 10% of
the total area, is more than 3.0 metre but less than 4.5 metre. Small peaks and pits are
excluded. Contractor shall note the following:
a) Company may elect to have any loose material such as sand and rubble removed on day
rates and then to pay Contractor rate for Plain Terrain to complete the location.
b) Company will elect to have material in excess of 4.5 metre removed on day rates basis.

3.2 DRILLING RIG LOCATION PREPARATION:

3.2.1 Rates for Access Road, Drilling Rig location, Water and Waste Pits, Camp Site and Flare and
Vent Pits shall be fully inclusive as per relevant drawings and shall include for all relevant
clauses included in clauses 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 above and additionally include the following:
3.2.2 Design in order to supply as applicable, Drilling Rig Location construction as per design
specifications.
3.2.3 To demonstrate Plain, Undulating and Jebel Terrains, levels shall be taken around each area

3.2.10 Location (any type) re-instatement at Drilling Rig Location after Rig has moved including Cut
slot from Rig position to and sloping towards the waste pit of required cross section by

cutting, filling, watering, compaction & final grading of new and existing drilling rig locations,
water and waste pits, camp sites and flare and vent pits which do not fit any of the listed
types. In such situations, quantity shall be derived based on Pro-Rate and the governing
parameter shall be the surface area/volume of new type against closest surface area/volume
of the listed type.
3.2.18.1 Drilling Rig Location surface area: Area enclosing drilling rig location/pad including run-off and
parking area.

3.2.18.2 Water and Waste pits and Master water pits: Volume occupied within the bund wall outer
perimeter.

3.2.18.3 Rig Camp Site surface area: Area enclosing the camp site excluding tracks and pits.

3.2.19 Rates for Drilling Rig Location Access or field Road shall additionally include the following:

General of Roads‟ for required size and height of sign post support, preparing and painting as

4. CONCRETE WORKS – SCHEDULE D

4.1 GENERAL:

4.1.1 Unless otherwise stated all materials shall be supplied by the Contractor.
4.1.2 Items measured as extra over shall cover only the additional cost over the original items.
4.1.3 Foundations, pipe supports, pipe anchors, inverted T-sections, sleepers and the like not
exceeding 2m³ in volume shall be measured as precast, even though they are cast in-situ.
4.1.4 Foundations, pipe supports, pipe anchors, inverted T-sections, sleepers and the like exceeding
2m³ in volume shall be measured as cast in-situ, even though they are precast.
4.1.5 Voids in concrete exceeding 0.2m³ shall be deducted from concrete quantity.
4.1.6 Forming all grooves, throats, rebates, chamfers and the like where the cross sectional area of
the grooves, throats, rebates, chamfers and the like is less than 2500 mm².
4.1.7 Thickenings under partitions and the like shall be measured by volume and added to the slabs
under which they occur.
4.1.8 Kerbs and small upstand beams shall be measured by volume and added to the slabs on which

4.2.16.1 Special protection - Nitocote PE 135: Extra over cost for supply and application of Nitocote PE
135 (application type-A or type-B) over „Synathaprufe‟ or equal to concrete surfaces shall be
additionally measured to concrete or precast concrete Rates.

Nitocote PE 135 (application type-A) – Supply and application in two coats to concrete
surfaces, each coat to give a DFT of 600 microns with 120-150 gsm glass mat rolled over each
coat to ensure the mat is fully embedded and complete as per specifications and instructions
of the manufacturer.

Nitocote PE 135 (application type-B) – Supply and application in two coats to concrete
surfaces, both coats to give a minimum DFT of 600 microns and complete as per specifications
and instructions of the manufacturer.

4.2.16.2 Any other special protection other than Nitocote PE 135: Extra over cost for application of any
other special protection other than Nitocote PE 135 over „Synathaprufe‟ or equal to concrete
surfaces shall be additionally measured to concrete or precast concrete Rates. Application shall
be complete as per specifications and instructions of the manufacturer.

4.2.16.3 In addition to the extra over application cost, actual net material cost of special protection
material.

4.2.17 Provision and fixing of all necessary formwork or moulds including filling concrete into
formwork or moulds.
4.2.18 Provision and fixing of bar or fabric/mesh reinforcement including working concrete around
reinforcement.
4.2.19 Plain concrete foundations including precast plain concrete foundations or mass concrete and
concrete blinding shall additionally include extra volume of concrete used in lieu of formwork
and forming upper sloping surfaces where required.

4.3 PRECAST CONCRETE

Rates for Precast Concrete items shall additionally include for all relevant items

General :
4.4.1 Rates shall be fully inclusive as per relevant drawings and shall include for all relevant items
included in clauses 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 above and clauses 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 of „Earthworks‟ and
additionally include the following:
4.4.2 Excavation in all type of grounds including rock and hand excavation at specific instructions of
the Company, disposal and backfilling.
4.4.3 All on-pad excavation overbreaks shall be backfilled and well compacted in layers to achieve
the original ground status in accordance with the „Construct standard Drilling Rig Location‟
Rate.
4.4.4 Reinforced sulphate resisting or ordinary portland cement concrete 25 or 35 N/MM² including
plain sulphate resisting concrete16 N/MM² blinding as applicable, polyethylene vapour barrier
1000 gauge as applicable, provision and fixing of bar or fabric/mesh reinforcement including
working concrete around reinforcement, provision and fixing of formwork or moulds including
filling concrete into formwork or moulds, load bearing blockwork and three coats of
„Synathaprufe‟ or equal and approved to all concrete and blockwork surfaces.
4.4.5 Construct Cellars shall additionally include the following in addition to 3.4.1(general):
Fabrication and installation of internal stove pipe (supplied by the Company) laid inside the
cellar and depth as referred in the drawings and external stove pipes (as specified in the
Schedules and supplied by the Company) laid vertically or at an inclination adjacent to and
away from cellar and depth as referred in the drawings. („Fabricate and Install external stove
pipe‟ Rate shall be payable only when constructed to modify the existing cellar or cellar
constructed by others and shall include for items as referred).
4.4.6 Shall additionally include for excavation in all type of grounds including rock and hand
excavation at specific instructions of the Company, disposal, backfilling and well compacted in
layers to achieve the original ground status in accordance with the „Construct standard Drilling
Rig Location‟ Rate, mass sulphate resisting concrete 25 or 35 N/MM², collecting and
transporting pipes, cutting, bevelling and welding including lifting lugs and cover plates.
4.4.7 Supply, fabricate and install cellar grating/chequered plate as per standard drawings with
support angles to suit Cellar additionally including cutting to size, length and shape, grinding
and preparing as required, drilling and tapping holes, cutting notches, slots and the like,
bending, plugging, riveting, screwing, bolting, welding and the like. Additionally anchor railing
shall be packed with removable material to avoid clogging of grooves during drilling
operations.
4.4.8 Providing outlet with Sleeves in the cellar with blinding for underground Hook-up Piping. (If
instructed by Company)
4.4.9 All fabrication and installation of cut out plates complete as per drawing GEN-2-9892-007 „O‟
and their dimensional adjustment to suit the cellar type, as well as adjustments to the grating
to avoid clashes with the stove pipe.
4.4.10 Cellar depth referred in Schedules shall be the internal depth excluding sump depth.
4.4.11 All steelwork shall receive corrosion protection as per specification and additionally prepared
and painted as specified in the drawings.
4.4.12 External (and internal in case of Rig-52) stove pipes refers to mouse hole or rat hole or Kelly
hole and the like.

4.4.13 Supply, fabricate and install 2 x 30 M each x 12" Schedule 40 Carbon Steel pipe sleeves in
trench including one each 12” Schedule 40 x 150# slip on flange at one end of the sleeves and
bolted to one each 12” x 150# blind flange bored to 92MM for 3” pipework and 171 MM for 6”
pipework including supply and installation of gaskets, stud bolts and nuts and sealed after
installing Hook-Up pipework (Hook-Up pipework measured separately) and other end of the
sleeves shall be opening into the cellar and embedded in the cellar wall.
4.4.14 Sleeves additionally include for grit blasting sleeves and flanges to SIS 05 5900 Sa 2½ and
apply finish externally of amine aduct, cured epoxy coating Hempadur 8553 minimum DFT 600
microns or Sigma Sigmarite EPH minimum DFT 500 microns as per PCS-2 and Wrapping as

4.4.16 Extrapolation of Rates: Contractor may however be required to construct cellars, external
stove pipes, cellar gratings, 2 x 12" Schedule 40 Carbon Steel pipe sleeves, septic tanks,
soakaway pit, manhole, pipeline protection slab, liners, Rig Location Concrete Slab Corrosion
Monitoring Access Pit and Spill Pit and Hard Stand which do not fit any of the listed types. In
such situations, Star Rates shall be derived based on extrapolation of Rates for listed types and
the governing parameter shall be as follows:
4.4.17 Cellar: Governing parameter shall be the cellar internal depth excluding sump depth of new
type cellar against cellar internal depth excluding sump depth of the listed type similar cellar.
4.4.18 External Stove Pipe: Governing parameter shall be the depth of all type external stove pipes
laid vertically or at an inclination multiplied by the Rate.
4.4.19 Cellar Grating: Governing parameter shall be the cellar internal cross sectional area of new
type cellar grating against closest cellar internal cross sectional area of the listed type cellar
grating (cellar internal cross sectional area as specified in drawing GEN-2-9906-001 „O‟ -
Schedule of Cellars).
4.4.20 2 x 12" Schedule 40 Carbon Steel pipe sleeves: Governing parameter shall be the additional or
reduced length of the new Sleeves against the length of the listed type on pro-rata basis.
4.4.21 Septic Tank: Governing parameter shall be the capacity of septic tank type 1 through 9 or new
type septic tank against capacity of listed septic tank type 10 (capacity as specified in drawing

5.1.7 Steelwork Services shall include for design and all associated costs in order to supply, fabricate
and install Steelworks in association with the main Works as applicable and in accordance with

grinding and edge preparation as required, drilling, tapping and threading holes, cutting
notches, slots and the like, bending, plugging, rivetting, screwing, bolting and welding,
excavation in all type of grounds including rock and hand excavation at specific instructions of
the Company, disposal and backfilling, plain sulphate resisting concrete foundation for fencing
& gate posts.
6.2.4 Remove and set aside fencing and gates shall include for carefully taking down the barbed
wire, chain link fencing, straining wires, posts and all fixings and tying off with binding wire at
ends if applicable, carefully rolling, tying and packaging the materials and returning them to
Company store or Contractor yard. The Rate shall additionally include for breaking up and
excavating fencing and gate post foundations and backfilling excavations to existing ground

7.1.1 Schedule G includes any Services to transport to site from yard or any location like generators,
diesel tanks, skids and any static equipments.
7.1.2 Rates shall include for all laying equipment into any supports/ background (company shall
assemble and align as per instructions where applicable.
7.1.3 Foundations if required shall be measured separately.
7.1.4 Rates for installation of diesel engine driven generator shall additionally include for laying and
hooking up of the fuel lines with the diesel tank including all necessary excavation for fuel lines
in all type of grounds including rock and hand excavation at specific instructions of the
Company, disposal and backfilling. Rates for removal shall additionally include for excavation
and removal of fuel lines and backfilling excavations to the existing ground level.
7.1.5 Rates for installation of diesel tanks shall additionally include for residue diesel. If
sleepers/foundations installed, shall be measured separately.
7.1.6 Rates for „Install‟, Remove and set aside and transport to Scrap dump, Company store or
Contractor yard or „Remove and set aside from one location and install at another location‟
MSV (excludes 3" 300# skid mounted MSV, which is separately itemised) Manifold and remote
Manifold shall include assembly and installation or dismantling and removal of any for
associated access platform and pipework and fittings within their skid limits.

8. DAYWORKS - LABOUR – SCHEDULE H

8.1 GENERAL:

8.1.1 When, in the opinion of the Company, Service cannot be measured by Rates contained in C5.3,
Schedule C, the Contractor shall execute these works on Schedule H on Daywork Rates basis.
8.1.2 The hourly Rates contained herein shall be applicable only to the actual hours spent by labour
and mechanical plant and equipment executing work on Daywork Basis.
8.1.3 Contractor shall keep accurate records of time spent by each category of labour and
mechanical plant and equipment on executing work on Daywork Basis.
8.1.4 Hourly Rates shall be based on ten hour working day, seven days per week.

8.2 LABOUR

Rates for Labour shall be fully inclusive and additionally include the following:
8.2.1 Wages and any supplementary payments including incentive and bonus payments, guaranteed
minimum payments, travelling time and transportation of labour to, from and around the
various job sites including vehicles and drivers used for transportation, payments in respect of
annual and public holidays, fares and transport, extra payments in respect of skill,
responsibility, discomfort, inconvenience or risk, redundancy payments or benefits and
insurance's, any contribution, levy or tax imposed in respect of the requirements of the
Sultanate of Oman Labour Laws, site overheads including site supervision, Foremen's, Permit
Holders or Chargehands time and additional tools, protective clothing and the like, site
overheads, head office overheads and profits, messing and accommodation, any other costs or
charges including where applicable the cost of any testing equipment and the like Which are
not included in the Schedules of Rates.
8.2.2 Foremen, Permit Holders and Chargehand‟s time necessary for HSE obligations and supervision
shall be deemed to be included in labour Daywork Rates.
8.2.3 Supervisory category refer C5.3 Schedule H: All Rates above „Foreman or Permit Holder or
Chargehand‟s Rate) shall be paid for on dayworks where the presence of these categories has
been explicitly requested by the Company or to reimburse abortive design work attributable to
the Company or to reimburse design work where the construction work has been aborted. In
general, all supervision is included in Rates.
8.2.4 Daywork Rates for overtime working in excess of 10 hours per day shall only be paid where
such overtime has been expressly requested and approved by the Company. Contractor shall
quote herein _________ % addition on „Hourly‟ Rate for labour to be payable as overtime Rate
i.e. Overtime Rate = Hourly Rate plus quoted % addition.
8.2.5 Stand-by time shall only be paid if requested by or attributable to the Company and not if
attributable to the Contractor and caused by the sequence of work. Contractor shall quote
herein ________ % reduction on „Hourly‟ Rate for labour to be payable as stand-by Rate i.e.
Stand-by Rate = Hourly Rate less quoted % reduction.
8.2.6 Contractor shall quote herein _________ % reduction on „Hourly‟ Rate for Labour utilised on
day basis and applicable if working continuously 10 hours per day and above 7 days only i.e.
Day Rate = Hourly Rate multiplied by 10 hours less quoted % reduction.
For example:
Fitter working continuously for 10 hours per day and 7 days shall be paid = 7 days multiplied
by hourly Rate multiplied by 10 hours.
Fitter working continuously for 10 hours per day and 8 days shall be paid = 8 days multiplied
by hourly Rate multiplied by 10 hours less quoted % reduction.

8.3 MECHANICAL PLANT AND EQUIPMENT

Rates for Mechanical Plant and Equipment shall be fully inclusive and additionally
include the following:
8.3.1 Insurance, licenses and taxes, fuel, lubricants and consumable, servicing, repairs and
replacements, consumable tools required for the execution of Dayworks by the mechanical
plant and equipment e.g. welding rods, threading moulds, grinding discs, oxy/acetylene gas
cylinders, lathe tool bits, jack hammer bits, X-ray/UT/MPI/DPI films, rivets and the like,
travelling time and transportation or haulage of mechanical plant and equipment to, from and
around the various job sites including vehicles/plant and drivers/operatives used for
transportation or haulage, site overheads, head office overheads and profits, depreciation and
financing charges, all other costs or charges.
8.3.2 The costs of drivers, operators and attendants shall not be included in the Daywork Rates for
mechanical plant and equipment, but shall be charged separately at the Rates set out in
Daywork Rates for labour.
8.3.3 Daywork Rates shall equally apply for hours worked in excess of 10 hour day.
8.3.4 Stand-by time shall only be paid if requested by or attributable to the Company and not if
attributable to the Contractor and caused by the sequence of work. Contractor shall quote
herein ________ % reduction on „Hourly‟ Rate for equipment to be payable as stand-by Rate
i.e. Stand-by Rate = Hourly Rate less quoted % reduction.
8.3.5 Contractor shall quote herein ________ % reduction on „Hourly‟ Rate for Mechanical Plant and
Equipment utilised on day basis and applicable if working continuously 10 hours per day and
above 7 days only i.e. Day Rate = Hourly Rate multiplied by 10 hours less quoted %
reduction.
For example:
JCB 3X working continuously for 10 hours per day and 7 days shall be paid = 7 days multiplied
by hourly Rate multiplied by 10 hours.
JCB 3X working continuously for 10 hours per day and 8 days shall be paid = 8 days multiplied
by hourly Rate multiplied by 10 hours less quoted % reduction.

8.4 TOWER SCAFFOLDING:

8.4.1 The Rates contained in this schedule shall only be applicable where work is being undertaken
on Daywork Rates, C5.3 other than Schedule H, all other Schedules are deemed to include for
the cost of scaffolding and the like, and shall not be itemised separately.
8.4.2 Rates for the erect, provide and dismantle scaffolding shall include for the full cost of
scaffolding, including but not limited to all associated labour and equipment costs (which shall
not be itemised separately and claimed), all scaffolding materials and items, all scaffolding
boards and all transportation of scaffolding materials to, from and around the various job sites.
8.4.3 Payment for erect, provide and dismantle scaffolding shall be made based on height criteria
and as per plan area of the scaffolding in square meters multiplied by number of days (part
day shall be considered as full day) made available to the Company multiplied by the Rate per
square meters/day.
8.4.4 The requirement for erect, provide and dismantle scaffolding shall be authorised by the
Company at the time of erection, provision and dismantling and failing to do so, the Contractor
shall forfeit the payment for scaffolding.
8.4.5 Charges for “Hire per day” shall be effective from the time Erection of scaffolding is completed
until the time dismantling is started. Part-off a day shall be considered as a full day.

8.5 DAILY SITE RECORDS (DSR):

8.5.1 The Daily Site Record sheets submitted to the Company shall clearly state the Purchase Order
number to which it is applicable, the date of execution of work, the exact location of work,
clear description of the work undertaken, category and quantity of labour, plant/equipment,
scaffolding and material claimed and cross out all un-used portions of the Daily Site Record
sheet.
8.5.2 Daily Site Record sheets shall only record the actual hours that the labour, plant and
equipment are actually working irrespective of Contractor‟s method of working and/or
sequence of operations.
8.5.3 Duly completed Daily Site Record sheets shall be submitted for Company approval within 24
hours of the work being executed.
8.5.4 Company shall either sign and accept the quantity and hours of labour and plant/equipment,
quantity of erect/dismantle and days of scaffolding provision and quantities of materials as
being a record of the actual hours worked and quantities utilised or refer the Daily Site Record
sheet back to Contractor with amendments and comments. It is to be clearly understood that
the signing of the Daily Site Record sheet by Company is merely a record of the daily
resources used to execute the work described.
8.5.5 Contractor shall keep a log consecutively numbered of all Daily Site Record sheets, stating the
Purchase Order to which it applies.

9. KEY PERSONNEL, CORE PERSONNEL, AND SUPPORT PERSONNEL – SCHEDULE J

9.1 GENERAL

9.1.1 Schedule J shall apply to Key Personnel, Core Personnel and Support Personnel as detailed in
C6.7 and Design Core Services.
9.1.2 The numbers and distribution of Key Personnel shall be as proposed by the Company and
subsequently shall be discussed annually when the projected Workload turnover increases or
decreases by more than 40% over the base workload.
9.1.3 The numbers and distribution of Core Personnel shall be as proposed by the Contractor and
agreed by the Company against the base Workload.
9.1.4 Rates for Personnel shall be common to Coastal and Interior Site based Personnel.
9.1.5 All chargeable Personnel shall be identified with a unique reference code, identifying discipline,
seniority and location. The reference code shall be used on all timesheets, related
correspondence and invoicing submitted to the Company.
9.1.6 The Company shall issue a general Purchase Order(s) for Core Personnel. These Personnel
shall be reimbursed on a Dayworks basis (hourly, daily or monthly rate) as specified in C5.3,
Schedule J02.
9.1.7 The numbers and distribution of Key Personnel and Core Personnel will vary according to
workload and distribution. Numbers of QA/QC Engineers / Inspectors and HSE Advisors shall
be dictated by the relevant specifications (SP1171 and the various specifications in Section
C9).
9.1.8 Under no circumstances Construction Core Personnel shall be utilised for Services already paid
for under the Unit Rates. Construction Core Personnel are supervisory and take no direct role
in execution aspects of the Services.
9.1.9 The Contractor shall keep accurate records of time spent by each category of Personnel on
executing work as per Schedule J.
9.1.10 The Contractor shall agree with the Company the increase or decrease in the numbers and
distribution of Personnel in all required categories such that all elements of the Services can be
executed in accordance with the provisions of the Contract.
9.1.11 The Company shall issue a general Purchase Order(s) instructing Contractor to provide Core
Personnel. Core Personnel shall be reimbursed on hourly rates, day rates and monthly rates as
appropriate. Company working hours shall be referred in C5.1 General Preambles.

9.2 KEY PERSONNEL AND CORE PERSONNEL RATES

9.2.1 Rates for Key Personnel and Core Personnel are included as part of C5.3 and shall be deemed
to include for but not be limited to the following:-
9.2.2 Direct Labour Costs:-
(a) Direct labour costs including allowances, local travel and subsistence allowances, all
bonuses, overtime, shift and other premia and fringe benefits.
(b) All costs associated with holidays with pay, sickness, injury and compassionate leave
with pay, customary and public holidays.
9.2.3 Payroll Burden:-
(a) All costs of taxes and contributions raised by law and regulations with respect to or
measured by the payroll of the Contractor (e.g. workmen's compensation and employer's
liability insurance, unemployment compensation, insurance, old age benefits, welfare
funds, redundancy provisions, pensions and annuities, disability insurance).
(b) All costs of the Contractor‟s standard employee‟s benefits (e.g. leave travel entitlements,
retirement funds, health and life insurances, any bonus programmes, profit sharing

schemes, share purchase schemes and company cars) and Contractor‟s non standard
employee benefits including overseas bonuses and living allowances.
9.2.4 Interior accommodation, messing, transportation and haulage of Contractor‟s Personnel to,
from and around worksite, protective clothing and equipment.
9.2.5 No additional payment shall be made to the Contractor in respect of Overtime worked by Core
Personnel. If the Core Personnel work overtime that has been explicitly requested and
approved by the Company, then the Contractor will be paid for the overtime at the Personnel
Rates - Core Personnel as described in C5.3, Schedule G and no other additional payment shall
be due to the Personnel.

9.3 SUPPORT PERSONNEL RATES

9.3.1 Support Personnel contained in C5.3 Schedule of rates, Schedule J03 shall be deemed to be
included in the Unit Rates.
