THE PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE

-SHAURYA KUMAR (12-B)


One has rightly said that life is like riding a bicycle, to keep your balance
you must keep moving. It’s all about quality of life and finding a happy
balance between work and friends and family. So the philosophy of life
is to maintain balance in your life because excess of anything or lack of
anything is always harmful. I think that this article may influence your
life in a better way.

When you feel sad it’s okay. It is not the end of the world. Everyone has
those days when you doubt yourself and you feel like everything you do
becomes fallacious, but then there are those days when you feel like
superman and everything seems to be very proportionate. It is just the
balance of the world. Letting go helps us to live in a more peaceful state
of mind and helps to restore our balance. It allows others to be
responsible for themselves and for us to take our hands off the
situations that do not belong to us. This frees us from unnecessary
stress. Faith gives you an inner strength and a sense of stabilized
perspective in life. Just as your car runs more smoothly and requires
less energy to go faster and farther when the wheels are in perfect
alignment, life also works smoothly when your thoughts, feelings,
emotions, goals and values are in focus. I think there should be a good
balance between being a good student and being able to enjoy your
school life. Fitness is not about being extreme and hardcore. Healthy
eating is not about counting calories, weighing food or finding less
tasteful ingredients. Life is just and only about balance. Life is a balance
of fear and overcoming it. Serenity is the balance between good and
bad, life and death, horror and pleasures. Life is as it were defined by
death, if there wasn’t death of things, then there wouldn’t be any life to
celebrate. Balance is the scale of peace. Toleration is the gift of mind,
which is very essential to maintain balance in life. Whenever we plan
for any new resolution in life, we most of the time fail to follow it,
because people try to adopt too many behavioral changes at once
which disturbs harmony of life.

The key to keeping your balance is knowing when you have lost it. You
will never find time for anything. If you want time you must make it.
Balance is not better time-management, but better boundary
management. Having balance doesn’t make it necessary or compulsion
to have a good life but might obviously shift your day or a particular
moment of life towards a good one. The doings in life i.e. karma is
always interrelated with the balance of life. If you know what is correct
and what is erroneous then you can maintain a proper balance in your
life. For example, when you climb up a staircase, then for every step
you take you have to do karma, which will be successful when you
climb up every step in a balanced way, otherwise you will see stars in
the daytime.

In your life balanced success is greater than unbalanced success. As


there is a perfect balance between day and night, every human being
should have a balanced thinking and a proportionate style of living.
Always try to maintain in your way of speaking, otherwise it can even
harm your relations. So in a philosophical way, I would like to say that if
your life is a lock, then the key to it is balance. I will not write further
now else it will lose the balance of your mind.
