1. The Effectiveness of Blindfold Game in Teaching Descriptive Text at The Seventh Grade
Students
a. Masalah Penelitian
1) The low competence that have by students in writing skill especially in writing
descriptive text
2) The students feel bored and do not get attention from their teacher in front of class
so they do other activities at class such as talked with friends
3) Monotonous and uninteresting learning that used by English teacher becomes
problem. A little media is used except whiteboard, book and boardmarker in
teaching and learning process. It made students did not have interested and have
low motivation.

2. The Effect of Outdoor Learning Strategy on Students’ Achievement in Writing Descriptive


Text at Junior High School
a. Masalah Penelitian
1) The students is difficult to deliver their ideas into a good sentences or paragraphs.
The cause was the students still poor of vocabulary. So, the students felt confused
to choose the appropriate words to begin write.
2) They are confused to develop paragraph because they have not inspiration to
develop it and lack of linguistic competence and rhetorical styles that lend to
texture component.
3) Learning environment takes effect on students’ eagerness. The students seem
bored to study indoor or in class, they need inspiration to write that make them
face a real concept not only imagination that the teacher brings to the class.
4) The traditional strategy only emphasizes the students to keep silent in the class and
giving the students task on module without explanation, as a result it was hard for
the students to begin write.
b. Kegunaan Penelitian
1) Theoritically
This research is expected to support the others theories and give information about
the benefit of using Outdoor Learning Strategy in teaching and learning process
especially English writing.
2) Practically
There are many practical significances of the research which can useful for the
students; teachers and the next researchers. First, for the students, by using this
strategy the students will be able to explore their knowledge about writing in fun
way. Second, for the teachers, this research will help the teachers to apply another
strategy in teaching writing and the third, for the next researcher, it is expected to
be a useful reference for any other researches about teaching writing by using
outdoor learning strategy.
