In comparison to so many success tips from the persons who proclaimed themselves as successful,

Almighty ALLAH only gives 4 tips which are very beneficial for each and everyone to succeed in this life
as well as in a life to come with a 100% guarantee. In the Holy Quran, ALLAH says:

“I swear by the passage of time, that man is surely in a state of loss, except those who believe and do
good deeds, and ask one another to hold fast to the Truth, and who ask one another to have
patience.” {Surah Al-Asr/103:1-3}

If you did not get the 4 success tips from Almighty ALLAH then see the following:

1. I swear by the passage of time, that man is surely in a state of loss, except those who believe

2. and do good deeds,

3. and ask one another to hold fast to the Truth,

4. and who ask one another to have patience.

1. I swear by the passage of time that man is surely in a state of loss except
those who believe:

Many of us are aware with the story of Firawn that how he disbelieved in ALLAH and
tried to kill Prophets Moosa and Haroon, may ALLAH pleased be with them and the Bani
Israel at the banks of a Nile river with his huge army. But ALLAH drowned him and his
army in the midst of a Nile river. By preserving Firawn’s body from rotting, ALLAH has
brought him a disgrace and set a sign for getting a heed for the coming generations till
the arrival of the Judgment Day.
Allah (SWT) swears of the things to add weight to his sayings.
Followings are a few mentioned things that Allah (SWT) has swore by:

1. Time
2. Fig
3. Olive
Allah (SWT) swears by time to make his people know the importance of time and to make sure
that his people don’t waste their time in the unimportant things of this world that are a mere
glitter with nothing to do with their future life which is eternal and based on the righteous
deeds that a man does In his life.

In order to be successful in our lives we should make correct use of the time that Allah (SWT)
has granted us. We should avoid using our leisure time for false activities and in the
unimportant thing. We should utilize our time and efforts in the right deeds. The right deeds
include the followings:

1. To talk about Islam and get a better understanding of the Quran.

2. Being kind and dutiful to parents.

3. Solving every kind of personal and social problems of others.

The most important condition for a deed to be righteous is sincerity that is to expect only
Allah’s pleasure. The intention should be pure and it should not be to seek material benefits.
It should be kept in mind that Allah (SWT) is absolutely independent of us, whereas we are
dependent on all the people of Prophet Yunus, may ALLAH pleased be with him in the early stages of
his Prophet hood rejected him and ALLAH. By seeing no sign of improvement in his people Prophet
Yunus prayed ALLAH to bring a torment on them and left the city. When the people of Prophet Yunus,
may ALLAH pleased be with him seen the early signs of torment from ALLAH they repented and prayed
to ALLAH to sent their Prophet back in order to learn the ways of worshipping ALLAH. ALLAH, the
Merciful and Beneficent accepted their repentance and prayers.

From the two different stories mentioned above we can draw conclusions that faith in ALLAH
protect us from the torments, afflictions, disgrace and becomes a way to attain salvation etc.,
not only in this life but also in the life to come after.

2. Do good deeds:
After attaining a firm belief in ALLAH, our enemy Satan will use every sort of lethal weapons
against us to diminish our belief in ALLAH. His one of the common lethal weapon against us is
the slow poison of sorrow, grief, anxiety. How much strong we may but there is always a
possibility that we may come under its influence. Once the slow poison of sorrow, grief and
anxiety enters in our mind and starts its work and became uncontrollable then we may fall in
serious depression or try to commit suicide or gone mad or constant illness. To attain comfort
we will turn to such things which ALLAH and His Prophet prohibited us that is Shirk and other
illicit activities. Psychiatrists from all over the world could not able to find its antidote rather
than giving suggestions. More than 1400 years ago ALLAH has given an antidote in the Holy
Quran:

Those who believe and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of ALLAH – surely in
the remembrance of ALLAH hearts can find comfort.

No matter how bad the situation gets and how worse people behave with us, we should never
change our behavior. We should always be kind and pure towards others. Soon or later they
will notice their bad behavior and improve themselves. We should always be good and follow
the instructions provided by our Allah (SWT).

Success is based on how we treat other people. We can please Allah (SWT) only by pleasing his
people. Allah (SWT) has mentioned many times in QURAN that the most effective way to please
Allah Almighty is to please his people. So by doing the good deeds we can achieve our goals in
our life no matter how far we are or how bad the situation gets.

3. And to ask one another to hold fast to the Truth:

Have you ever think that how our ancestors came into the folds of Islam or who spread or
preach the divine message of ALLAH when Prophet MUHAMMAD, peace be upon him departed
from this world? If you are thinking about Sahabas, may ALLAH pleased be with them? Then I
would like to ask who spread or preach the message of ALLAH after them? You might be
thinking of some people voluntarily came forward to spread or preach the message of ALLAH.
The question arises here is what did they get by spreading or preaching the message of ALLAH?
You might say to attain the pleasure of ALLAH. Then I would like to ask What type of pleasure
they would attain from ALLAH?

I think you are very familiar with the concept of Insurance policies. Insurance companies ask
you to pay the fixed amount of premium every month till a limited time of period. So in nearby
future you can enjoy the benefits of an insurance policy. Unfortunately, many of the insurance
companies honestly take premiums from you when their time comes to return your money in
needs of your emergencies they show cunningness. Shall I tell you about an insurance policy
from ALLAH. This policy can come to you to rescue when you lack few good deeds to enter in
Paradise.
Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him said a believer continues to earn good deeds even if
he is dead for three things they are 1. If he dig a well for the people to quench their thirst till it
is in use, 2. If he taught somebody a beneficial knowledge till it spreads, 3. If his son prays for
his forgiveness from ALLAH.

Imagine a moment that on a Day of Judgment you are in need of some more good deeds to
enter in Paradise and you have been dragging towards Hell. Suddenly an angel will appear and
says, ‘Stop! His good deeds of after death is yet to be added.’ By the grace of ALLAH your good
deeds after death have been added to your account and you are sent to Paradise.

Before ending this topic I want to say that practice what you teach. As ALLAH says in the Holy
Quran:

It is most hateful to ALLAH that you do not practice what you preach.

4. And to ask one another to have patience.

This one is quite difficult when compared to previous ones. As the ALLAH says in the Holy
Quran:

Do people think that once they say,

‘We believe’, they will be left alone and not be put to the test? We certainly tried those who
have gone before them, so ALLAH will certainly distinguish between those who are truthful
and those who are lying. You might be thinking by what means ALLAH put us through the
test. With an answer to queries ALLAH also shows how to be successful in His test, in the
following verse:

Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods, lives and
the fruits (of your toil) but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere.

If ALLAH wills the following hadith may diffuse some of our worries regarding the tests of
ALLAH:

The Prophet (peace be upon him)said:

“No fatigue, illness, anxiety, sorrow, harm or sadness afflicts any Muslim, even to the extent
of a thorn pricking him, without Allah wiping out his sins by it.”

In another narration, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “No Muslim is afflicted by harm,
whether it is but the prick of a thorn or something worse, without Allah expiating his evil deeds
on account of it and his sins falling away from him like leaves off a tree”

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“When Allah desires good for someone, He tries him with hardships.”

The Muslim may be tested by all sorts of difficulties like sickness, lack of income, and
disobedience from his children. In fact, the many afflictions that may beset a person are
incalculable. This is the point that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was stressing when he
mentioned: “fatigue, illness, anxiety, sorrow, harm or sadness …even to the extent of a thorn
pricking him”.

All of these afflictions, if endured patiently by the believer, are a means of attaining Allah’s
forgiveness as well as His reward.
