RECRUITMENT OF TEACHING & NON-TEACHING STAFF

The National Homoeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health, Kottayam – 686 532
under the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), an autonomous body of the
Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India invites applications from eligible candidates for the
following posts purely on contract basis for a period of 01 year (extendable further based on the
requirement) :

The candidates may apply by SPEED POST/REGD. POST to the Officer in-charge,
National Homoeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health (NHRIMH),
Sachivothamapuram, Kurichy, Kottayam-686 532(Kerala) within 15 days from the
date of advertisement. Applications received after 4.00 pm of the last date will not be

 1. *Professor (Psychiatry) - 01 (One) post
Educational and other qualification required
a. Essential Qualification
(i) Post Graduate qualification in Homoeopathy with three years of teaching experience
in Psychiatry /Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy/Practice of
Medicine as Associate Professor/Reader in a Homoeopathic College of degree level.
(ii) The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homoeopathy
Central Council Act, 1973.

b. Desirable Qualification
i. Experience as Supervisor/Guide for Post Graduate students in Homoeopathy
ii. Publication of original research papers
iii. Administrative experience in Homoeopathic Medical College/Hospital

OR
a. Essential Qualification
I. Post Graduate Medical Degree in Psychiatry recognized by the Medical
Council of India.
II. Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor/Reader in Psychiatry
in a degree level Homoeopathic College and or in a Medical College
permitted by the Central Government.

b. Desirable Qualification
I. Publication of original research papers
II. Research experience in a research institution recognized by the concerned
University/State/Central Government.
Upper age limit: Not exceeding 62 years.
Remuneration: Rs.90,000/- (Consolidated)
* In case suitable candidate in the category of Professor is not available, the post may be
operated at the level of Reader/Associate Professor (with remuneration of Rs.70,000/- per
month).

2. *Professor (Practice of Medicine) - 01 (One) Post

Educational and other qualification required
a. Essential Qualification
(i) Post Graduate qualification in Homoeopathy with three years of teaching experience
as Associate Professor/Reader in Practice of Medicine in a Homoeopathic College of
degree level.
(ii) The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homoeopathy
Central Council Act, 1973.

b. Desirable Qualification
(i) Experience as Supervisor/Guide for Post Graduate programme in Homoeopathy
(ii)Publication of original research papers
(iii)Administrative experience in Homoeopathic Medical College/Hospital

OR
a. Essential Qualification
(i) Post Graduate degree in Medicine recognized by the Medical Council of India.

 (ii) Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor/Reader in Medicine in a
degree level Homoeopathic College and or in a Medical College permitted by the
Central Government.

b. Desirable Qualification
(i) Publication of original research papers
(ii) Research experience in a research institution recognized by the concerned
University/State/Central Government.
Upper age limit: Not exceeding 62 years.
Monthly remuneration: Rs.90,000/- (Consolidated)

3. Consultant Psychiatrist - 01 (One) Post

Educational and other qualification required
a. Essential Qualification
(i) Post Graduate Degree in Psychiatry or equivalent qualification recognized by the
Medical Council of India
(ii) Two years’ experience in a Hospital/Health centre/Clinic.

b. Desirable qualification
(i) Persons who have retired from Govt./Private/autonomous Institutions
(ii) Persons with teaching experience
(iii)Research /publications

Upper age limit: Not exceeding 64 years.

Monthly remuneration: Rs.1,00,000/- (Consolidated)

4. Associate Professor/Reader(Psychiatry) - 01 (One) Post

Educational and other qualification required
a. Essential Qualification
(i) Post Graduate qualification in Homoeopathy with four years of teaching experience
as Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Psychiatry/Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic
Philosophy/Practice of Medicine in a Homoeopathic College of degree level.
(ii) The qualification shall be the one included in Second Schedule of Homoeopathy
Central Council Act, 1973.

b. Desirable Qualification
(i) Experience as Supervisor/Co-Supervisor or Guide/Co-guide for Post Graduate
course in Homoeopathy.
(ii) Research experience in a research institution recognized by the concerned
University or State Government or Central Government.
OR
a. Essential Qualification
(i) Post Graduate Medical Degree in Practice of Medicine recognized by the Medical
Council of India with four years teaching experience as Lecturer in Practice of
Medicine in a degree level Medical Institution/Homoeopathic College.

 b. Desirable Qualification
(i) Publication of original research papers.
(ii) Research experience in a research institution recognized by the concerned
University/State/Central Government.
Upper age limit : Not exceeding 62 years.
Monthly remuneration : Rs.70,000/- (Consolidated).

5. Pathologist - 01 (One) Post

Educational and other qualification required
a. Essential Qualification
(i) Post Graduate Degree (MD) Pathology or equivalent qualification recognized by
the Medical Council of India
OR
MSc PhD in Pathology qualification from a recognized University

b. Desirable Qualification
(i) Publication of original research papers
(ii) Research experience in a research institution recognized by the
University/State/Central Government.
Upper age limit : Not exceeding 62 years.
Monthly remuneration : If a candidate possessing medical qualification i.e. MD (Pathology) is
engaged, the post will be operated at the level of Associate Professor with a consolidated
remuneration of Rs.70,000/- per month. In case of non-medical candidate with M.Sc., Ph.D
qualification, the post will be operated with Rs.50,000/- consolidated per month.

6. Clinical Psychologist - 01 (One) Post

Educational and other qualification required
a. Essential Qualification
Master’s Degree in Psychology, M.Phil in Clinical Psychology

b. Desirable Qualification
Ph.D. in Clinical psychology, Publication of original research papers

Upper age limit : Not exceeding 62 years.

Monthly remuneration : Rs.50,000/- (Consolidated)

7. Occupational Therapist - 01 (One) POST

Educational and other qualification required
a. Degree in Occupational Therapy or any other equivalent qualification from a
recognized University/Institute.
b. One year experience in Psycho Social Rehabilitation/Neuro development.

Upper age limit : Not exceeding 35 years

Monthly remuneration : Rs.40,000/- (Consolidated)

 8. Medico Social Worker-01 (One) Post
Educational and other qualification required
a. Essential Qualification
(i) Master’s Degree in Sociology or Social work with specialization in Medical Social
work or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Degree in Science
from a recognized University with Two years diploma in Social work.
(ii) One year experience in Social work
OR
(i) Master’s Degree in Social work with specialization in Medical Social work from a
recognized Institution/University or equivalent
(ii) Two year’s experience in Social work.
Upper age limit : 35 years
Monthly remuneration : Rs.40,000/- (Consolidated)

9. Psychiatric Social Worker - 01 (One) Post

Educational and other qualification required
a. Essential Qualification
(i) MA/MSW in Social work and M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work.
(ii) One year experience in Psychiatric Social Work.

b. Desirable Qualification
Ability to take initiative in developing services and intervention modules.
Upper age limit : Not exceeding 35 years

10. Speech Therapist - 01 (One) Post

Educational and other qualification required
a. Essential Qualification
(i) Bachelors degree in Audiology language and Speech pathology or an equivalent
qualification awarded by the recognized University
(ii) Registration in the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)

b. Desirable Qualification
One year’s experience (clinical) in speech and Audiology in medical institute of repute.
Upper age limit : Not exceeding 35 years
Monthly remuneration : Rs.40,000/- (Consolidated)

11. Special Educator - 01 (One) Post

Educational and other qualification required
a. Essential Qualification
B.Ed. Special Education or its equivalent from a Rehabilitation Council of India
(RCI) recognized Institute and must be registered with RCI.
Upper age limit : Not exceeding 35 years
Monthly remuneration : Rs.30,000/- (Consolidated)

12. Junior Hindi Translator - 01 (One) Post
Educational and other qualification required
Essential Qualification
Master’s Degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or
elective subject or as the medium of examination at degree level
OR
Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa
or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central
or State Government Offices, including Government undertakings/Autonomous bodies.
Upper age limit : Not exceeding 35 years
Monthly remuneration : Rs.30,000/- (Consolidated)

13. Therapy Assistant (Occupational) – 01 (One) Post

Educational and other qualification required
Essential Qualification
Degree in Occupational Therapy or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized
University/Institute.
Upper age limit: Not exceeding 35 years.
Monthly Remuneration: Rs.30,000/- (Consolidated)

General Instructions
1. The selection will be made for the NHRIMH, Kottayam.
2. Retired candidates from service with teaching experience shall be given preference for
the academic posts.
3. The eligibility of the candidates, including age limit, will be determined as on the last
date of receipt of application.
4. The candidates who fulfil the eligibility requirement may apply in the prescribed forms
(Annex-1) along with self attested photocopies of the testimonials of qualifications,
experience, mark sheet, birth certificates, registration certificate and two passport size
photographs etc. Pension payment Orders (in case of retired personnel). Entries in the
application form should be supported by the relevant documents.
5. The Candidates already in Govt. service must follow the prescribed procedure for
applying through proper channel.
6. The appointment will be made purely on contract basis initially for a period of one year.
7. The candidates, if employed with any University/College/Autonomous Body/Govt. or
private sector may bring NOC from their employer at the time of interview.
8. Application fee in the form of Demand Draft of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only)
(non-refundable) drawn in favour of “Director General, CCRH” payable at New
Delhi should accompany the application. Applications received without the requisite
fee will be summarily rejected. There will be no application fee for women candidates
and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled tribe, Physically Handicapped
and Ex-Servicemen. Such candidates will have to submit along with the application
from, requisite documentary proof in support of their belonging to one of the exempted
categories.
9. The number of vacancies may vary depending upon the requirement at the time of final
selection.
10. The Competent Authority reserves the right to change/modify/cancel the recruitment
exercise for any post at any stage without assigning any reason. The competent
authority reserves the right to terminate the contractual engagement at any time without
assigning any reason.

 11. The selected candidates shall have no claim for appointment on regular basis by virtue
of their being engaged on contractual basis.
12. Interested candidates may also in their own interest ensure that they fulfil the eligibility
conditions.
13. In case, large number of applications is received, the competent authority reserves the
right to shortlist candidates by adopting appropriate criteria. Only shortlisted
candidates will be invited for interview.
14. Candidates are requested to see Council’s website (www.ccrhindia.nic.in) on regular
basis for any new announcement in this regard.
15. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending interview
16. Canvassing in any form or on behalf of a candidate will be a disqualification.
17. The last date of receipt of application shall be 4.00 PM within 15 days from the date of
advertisement.
18. Incomplete applications and those received after the closing date will not be considered.
