VIII. SCHEDULE
I. INTRODUCTION
The United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (UAPSA), a duly
recognized student organization of the United Architects of the Philippines,
aims to motivate and instill discipline among architectural students and to
propagate the goals and aspirations of architects in the country.
For National Architecture Week 2019, the United Architects of the Philippines,
in coordination with the UAPSA, will host a PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
for UAPSA members with a theme “Homeless”, addressing local issues in
housing of people within or below the poverty index of the Philippines.
II. OBJECTIVE
The Architectural Photography competition shall intensify the artistic side of
Architecture students showcasing and exemplifying their perspectives with
their sense of empathy to the reality of the present era to show awareness
and concern with the lack of housing facilities in the country today. It shall let
you see the unique perspective of what is real; captivating the life of a space,
narrating a story of a building with its environment in order to truly understand
our present situation.
The project should demonstrate how an “Architect” sees and analyzes his
environment relating to housing backlogs and demonstrate the architect’s role
as a thinker, a reformer, an activist, and a visionary in the community.
