YOUTH DIRECTOR‟S MESSAGE
From the desk of the Conference youth
director, I bring you greetings in the name of
our lord and master Jesus Christ.
We thank him so much that by his grace we are
part of this year’s annual youth camp meeting.
Even though it has not been easy, we are still
alive and this shows how mighty our God is.
The theme for this year’s camp, “Pass it on;
Engage, Equip, and Empower for service and
leadership” is very appropriate because as
soldiers of the cross engaged in the war against
sin, we cannot win without being empowered
by the Holy Spirit and equip ourselves with the
word of God (Eph.6:11-18).
I wish to remind you that several generations
have been nourished by various youth camps so
I implore you as an equipped youth to examine
your readings, dressing, music, and social life
and discard cheap amusements that can retard
your service for leadership which can also
prevent you from marching towards the second
coming.
3
Dear campers, let us examine our fundamental
traits of character that makes for success or
failure in our spiritual life and discuss practical
subjects that will direct all our attention to the
second coming. I challenge you to honor God
with a self-controlled life that will inspire many
youths to join such an army of dedicated youth
who has been engaged, equipped and
empowered by the master for service and
leadership.
I entreat you to aspire for intellectual greatness
to serve your God. Let us all leave camp 2019
being equipped and ready to pass on the baton
to the next generation.
With these words, I salute you and welcome
you all to camp 2019.
MARANATHA.
