CONCEPTUAL DEVELOPMENT

DESIGN OBJECTIVES

1. To create a culture and art center that will enhance user experience through good

circulation and accessibility in the facility.

2. To create a culture and art center that will provide an educational workshop and classes

to produce art by having an interactive learning and collaborative space.

3. To create a culture and art center that will provide exhibition and gallery spaces that will

cater different types of displayed artworks by using a flexible layout.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

“Architecture can be a piece of art, but it must be responsible to people and its context”-

- Architecture is connected to the culture and the community that forms the society.

Philippines has a diverse culture and arts from the different parts of the country and

each city is well-known for its culture and arts that shows its identity and character,

with this various types of arts are develop through the form of dancing, singing, acting,

or arts and it makes the society be united as one, as well as the whole Philippines with

its rich culture.

DESIGN CONCEPT

- “Transforming creative ideas into physical representation”

o Ideas are generated in order to produce art; it is a way of the artists to express

thoughts or to tell a story. The physical representation of our culture is seen through
 arts, it is important in our society because it can be seen everywhere from the small

things to the big things that we use in the world.

o Each part of the Philippines has its own art style and techniques that makes each

of them express their culture using different mediums. These arts are unique that

creates the identity of the city.
