Building and Equipment on Earth

Quake Assessment
Prepared by:
Engr. Raph Vincent Zamora, ME
Cracked Walls
- As per inspection this is
located beside the syrup
mixing area. Fallen
concrete debris.

- Action: Will schedule re-

concreting and plastering
on these portion. c/o
maintenance

- Its is safe best to ask for

building structural
assessment to qualified
civil engineers and
contractors.
Cracked Walls
- As inspected these cracks
are found the back of
packaging area, as initially
found to be the cracked
plastering of the walls, but
to be sure we will schedule
the re plastering, we will
check if the crack really
translated to existing CHB
wall.

Action: Will schedule for re-

plastering. c/o plant
maintenance.
Cracked Wall Columns
and Thermal Oil Pipe
Support
- As visual inspection at the
back of the building near
the boiler area, we found a
crack at the wall columns
along the canal trench.
Some of the crack are
along the thermal oil pipe
supports.

Action: We will check for re

plastering of the wall, but it is
best to consult structural
expert on these for to check
structural stability.

Some of the crack are
along the thermal oil pipe
supports.

Action: We will check for re

plastering of the wall, but it is

Other Safety Concerns
Maintenance and Production
Safety Concerns on
Exposed Wirings and

-Transfer pumps for frying oil

located near stainless frying
oil tank. These pump units are
recommended to have a
pump shed for its protection
during rains, which will be
exposed to hazards.

Action: I will send cost

estimate for the installation of
pump shed, tomorrow
(10/19/19) for your
evaluation on the cost.
Re-Plastering of Concrete
floors at First Fry and
Sweetened.

- Need to even up floor

finishes for safety concerns
during operations.

Action: Re-finishing on
concrete floors. Will submit
cost estimate for the repairs.
Re-Insulation of Thermal
Oil Lines Along Heat
Exchanger

- Recommended re
insulation of thermal oil
lines near heat exchanger
maximize heat transfer
properties. As of now
there area leaks along
some on the control valves
flange gaskets.

Action: We will schedule

replacement of gasket and
possible re insulation in next
shut down. C/o Maintenance.
Cleaning of Y-Strainer
Filter of Thermal Oil
Pump
-Cleaning of the y-strainer
filter as preventive
maintenance for thermal oil
lines. As inspected, the oil is
really oxidized and I filtered a
lot of carbon residue which is
really a that the oil is for
replacement, but it is still
operational, we can still use it,
but later on will contribute to
heat exchanger fouling
(clogged-up).
Recommendations: Possible
system change oil and
Replacement of heat
exchanger at first fry. For now
its can still be operational.
Possible Moving of
Compressor out side
the Building
- Possible relocation of
compressor to outside the
building due to oil formation
on the compressor alone
which will decrease its
operational performance
over time, it will be also a
safety hazard for every one
inside the plant if something
will happen to the
compressor.
Recommendations: We will
propose a desired location
outside the plant and will
recommend of re piping of GI
pipe size ½ (Sch 40) instead of
using PE hose as supply. Will
submit material costing for
these.
