approved. Procedure is in accordance with the recommendation of
SAEP-1025,
the boiler manufacturer & SA SAEP-1026 Requirements.

Fireside Layup in SAEP-1026 Section 12.1 specifies the minimum

requirements for Boiler Furnace Lay-up (Preservation)
Fire-side lay-up procedure as given in Section 10 is used SAEP-1026,
when the waterside is laid up either wet, or dry. (SAEP-1026 Para.
A2 4.6). Section 10, Step 4 specifically requires Section 12.1
furnaces to be sealed. "Close stack blinds, seal &
the furnace, and cover the forced draft/induced draft fan air inlet with Step 4
plastic sheeting film, and tape completely, to prevent any ingress of
air.

Fireside Layup in SAEP-1026 Section 10.2 specifies minimum

requirements for Boiler Furnace Maintenance & Inspection during SAEP-1026,
A3 Lay-up (Preservation). This is a Preservation Program with One
month, three month, & six month intervals.Reapply VCI every two Section 12.2
years per manufacturer's recommendations

Both the water-side, and the fire-side of steam generating equipment

SAEP-1026,
shall be protected against corrosion damage during idle periods.
