Department of CSE-IT of J D College of Engineering & Management Nagpur has
organized Industrial Visit at ADCC Ltd. IT Park Nagpur on 20/08/14 under the guidance of Hon.
Director’s JES, Nagpur, Prof. P.B.Maheshwary, Prof. S.M.Bang and Prof. N.H.Patil. The entire
Industrial Visit was supervised by Hon. Principal Dr. S.R. Choudhari & Hon. Vice-Principal &
Head of Department CSE-IT Prof. S. V. Sonekar. Coordinator for the event were Prof K. U.
Koche & Prof. P. V. Thakare

 OBJECTIVE OF INDUSTRIAL VISIT

The Objective of the Industrial Visit is to help students gain first hand information
regarding functioning of the industry which presents the students with opportunities to
plan, organize and engage in active learning experiences both inside and outside the
classroom.

 Special Objectives for the Students

 To understand the process
 To experience chemistry at work.
 To become aware of the role of different people in an organization.
 To become aware of Career Opportunities
 To recognize the need for Health and Safety in the workplace.
 To focus students of specific aspects of their studies.

About GIS: A geographic information system is a computerized data management
system used to capture,store, manage, retrieve, analyze and display spatial information.
Data captured and used in a GIS commonly are represented on paper or other hard copy
maps.
First, data are georeferenced to the coordinates of a particular projection system. This
allows precise placement of features on the earth’s surface and maintains the spatial
relationships between mapped features.

Second, GIS software use relational database management technologies to assign a series
of attributes to each spatial feature.
Third, GIS provide the capability to combine various data into a composite data layer that
may become a base layer in a database.

 Outcome of the Activity:-

Students get an opportunity to know the work culture of IT Industry. They get an
exposure to Technologies used in the IT sector and what short of knowledge required
getting Jobs in IT sector. Students get a look and feel of glamour in IT Industries.

This industrial visit has improved the knowledge of the students and has raised
enthusiasm to work hard to improve their knowledge and skills.
