Do you need a medical examination as part of your visa requirements? Are you a student or worker with
tight deadline? Book an appointment for your examination by phone, email or in person and process your
medical examination at IOM Migration Health Assessment Centres (MHAC) in Lagos and Abuja. Your medical
results will be sent electronically via eMedical.

2. Payment of medical examination fee
Payment should be made before reporting for medical examination to the following bank account:

Payment can be made through bank deposit in any Standard Chartered Bank branch in Nigeria or
through bank transfer. You will be requested to present proof of payment (Deposit Slip or Transfer
Receipt) when reporting for medical examination. All‐inclusive medical examination fee is as follows:

Less than 5 years (< 5 yrs) 26,200.00
5 to less than 11years (5 to <11 yrs) 28,100.00
11 years to less than 15 years (11 to < 15 yrs). 31,800.00
15 Years or more (≥ 15yrs) 40,200.00
Additional fees and charges may apply if the doctor requests further tests, procedures or examination.
a) For your medical examination, you will be asked to take off all your clothes except your underwear.
b) You may require a chaperon to be present during your physical examination, especially if you are to
be examined by a physician of the opposite sex.
c) Do not conceal medical conditions. Deliberate attempts to hide them will be recorded in your
medical report and immigration visa office notified. Additional examination or tests may be required
for individuals with significant medical conditions in order to complete and submit the medical
report.
d) Do not conceal pregnancy. Pregnancy will not affect your immigration prospects. X‐ray radiation may
harm your baby.
e) Women are advised to avoid medical examination during menstruation as it may affect results of the
urine test.
f) Postpone or re‐schedule your appointment if you or your child is ill with fever.
g) Your medical examination will take place over a one‐ day period. Please allow approximately 3 hours
for your examination to be completed.
