QUANT SECTION
1)Probability of hitting is 1/3. He fires 3 shot. Find the probability at least one
will hit-19/27 (11th oct 9 am repeated)

Atleast 1 means:
1 hit, 2 not hit = (⅓ * ⅔ * ⅔ )*3 = 12/27 ;
2 hit, 1 not hit = (⅓ * ⅓ * ⅔)*3 = 6/27 ;
all 3 hit = ⅓ * ⅓ * ⅓ = 1/27
Total = 19/27
Hey would not be it like - True this is the easier and correct approach!
prob(not hitting)= ⅔*⅔*⅔
Atleast one shot =1-not hitting
=1-8/27
=19/27
(5th Oct 9am)

2)Sum of first, second & third term of GP is14. Sum of squares of first three
terms is 84. Find no the third term(5th Oct 9am) (7th Oct, 11:30 am repeated)
,(12 oct, 11.30am repeated)- 8 or 2
Series can be both 2,4,8 or 8,4,2. Both are right.

3) 4 physics 5 biology ( different edition) 2 english (same edition) you need to

arrange in shelf
-such that books of specific genre are adjacent to each other (5th Oct 9am) - Ans
3! 4! 5!(11th oct 9 am repeated)

Answer should be - 3!4!5! (3!= Arranging phy , bio ,eng)(4!=phy)(5!=bio)

( Since the 2 english books belong to the same edition as mentioned in the
question, so it doesn’t matter how they are arranged since its gonna be the same
both times, so 2! Is redundant and should be kept out )

4) Hexagon has 5 angles of 116° each. Find the 6th angle(5th Oct 9am) - 140°(11th
oct 9 am repeated)

Total sum of interior angles = (n-2)180° = 4 * 180° = 720°ip

720° - (5 * 116°) = 720° - 580° = 140°.
Also in regular hexagon we have each angle=120 so we will have the remaining
angle = 120 + (120-116)*5 = 140

5) ABCE is a parallelogram. D is midpoint of CE. AE is extended till F. F is

joined with B through a line which is passing through D. Find AF : BC

ANS-? It's 2:1 we get the answer by similarity of triangles fed and fab

 6)How many nos are there between 1 n 1000 such that they are perfect
cubes and also have even number of factors.
Ans: 06
as there are 8 perfect cubes b/w 1-1000 and they all have even no. Of factors.
Perfect square cubes have odd number of factors. So 4 and 9 will be excluded.
Answer is 6.
4 cube and 9 cube are excluded as they have odd number of factors.

7) by what least no should abc be multiplied to make it a perfect cube? Clarity

Please ?
Note: (something is missing or needs more clarity about “abc” number)
13. ABC should be a perfect square with all distinct digits so 100,121,144
neglected. Least such square is 169. Hence least such number is 13.

8) Cone of height 40 cm is cut from a height parallel to base. Volume of the

frustum is 63/64 of the cone. Find the height of the frustum(11th oct 9 am
repeated)

Answer will be 30 cm. As (40^3-10^3)/40^3 = 63/64

The distance from the base was asked.Hence the correct answer is 40-10=30

Q-9) -1,2,5,8 are repeated to form a sequence. Find the sum of first 35 terms of
this
sequence.)
ANS 118
(-1+2+5+8)*8+(-1+2+5)=14*8+6=118

Q-10) 3a25b divisible by 12 . Find the max difference between |a-b|. ( 7th Oct,
11:30 am repeated +)(12 oct, 11.30am repeated)
For 3a25b to be divisible by 12 it must be divisible by both 3 and 4. Hence b
can only assume 2 values 2 or 6. Now let’s take b=2. For 3a25b to be divisible
by 3, 3+a+2+5+2=12+a must be divisible by 3,we can take a=9 here since 21 is
divisible by 3. That gives a-b=7.
7 is correct.
PLEASE EXPLAIN. IT CAN BE DIVISIBLE BY 5 ALSO. HENCE B CAN BE 0 AS
WELL
Query- i dont think this is the complete question

Guys where is the question? 60 will be the answer i think.(if someone

knows the approach,kindly do share)

I THINK IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SQUARE? (Because then L=B and we can
solve using similarity of triangle ..yes it would be a square)
Is the answer 30? Please confirm…
As per me the answer should be 60 because it is asking about the maximum
area. I
have confirmed it by one of my mentors.

HOW IS THE AREA OF TRIANGLE 120? It should be 96 (½*16*12). Please

explain?
0

Look carefully the gap is of length y always. Hence if you take them to be 5
rectangles then there are 3 horizontal rectangles with length X and breadth Y
giving area 3XY
Followed are the 2 vertical rectangle having breadth Y but length X-2Y
.
-- how the vertical length is X-2Y
Therefore 2*(X-2Y)Y = 2XY - 4Y^2
Adding area of vertical and horizontal gives 5XY-4Y^2

Q-21) No of ways of arranging the books of 3 subjects A,B,C (4 distinct books

of A,3 distinct books of B,2 identical books of C) such that books of the same
subject should be together?

My approach: Since 6 levels of work has to be done, we can equate A’s work
& B’s work. Now A is taking 10 hrs for 2 lelvels. So for 6 levels, he’ll take 30
hrs. With same logic, B will take 18 hrs. Now just use LCM approach. And
you’ll get the answer as 45/4.
Yup ur approach is great now move forward and take their lcm -90 than their
individual speed is 3 and 5 respectivelt than add 3+5t=8
And divide 90/8ans.any other doubt just ask

Q.28) Traders A and B buy two goods for Rs. 100 and Rs. 200 respectively.
Trader A marks his goods up by x%, while trader B marks his goods up by
3x% and offers a discount of x%. If both make the same profit, find the
discount offered.
Final ans is 50%.
[ANS - 50% -> discount] please explain?I don't think this is the correct one..I'm
getting 33 discount in 1st case and 66 in 2nd by putting 33.33%discount….i f
someone has solved it ..please share d approach.i s the ques askinpg same
percentage of profit or same amount of profit?
x=2(2x-(3x^2)/100)
Can someone please provide a solution for this one. Put 50% as answer and
check it...it satisfies the conditions.
50 should be the correct logical answer
If you put 50,
profit in both case is 50 Hence satisfying the condition
To all those people who are getting 33.33%, please check that the CP given are
100 and 200. You must be taking 100 in both the cases that is why you are
getting 33.33%...
---ANS is not matching with 50%
Taking x=50,
For A, Profit =100(0.5)= 50
For B, Profit= 200(2.5)(0.5) - 200 = 50
Hence profit is equal for x=50
Hey can anyone elaborate the method properly because the ans 50 seems to
be wrong(please clear the doubts)

 X=4x-(3x^2)/50
X=50%
It

Q.29) A takes twice as much time as B or thrice as much time as C to finish a

piece of work. Working together, they can finish the work in 6 days. B can do
the work alone in much days?
ANS - 18 days

Time ratio of A:B:C=6:3:2

Eff ratio=(1:2:3) ,
total =6 units/day ,
total days=6
so total work=36 units ,
B alone in 36/2=18 days.
thanks

Q.30) A shopkeeper uses 990gm weight instead of 1 kg. He sells it at 8% profit.

What will be the overall profit or loss? ANS - 9.09%
[100+profit%] x [1000/(altered weight)] - 100
= [100 + 8] x [1000/990] - 100-
= 9.09%

Nahi yaad hai.. I didn’t know shuffle hote hai.

But it was very easy.

Q35. How many digits in the term 12^30? Yes

Ans = 33
If log2=.3 and log 3=.48 then how many numbers are thr in 12^30 ?
Ans:
Let x=12^30
Log x= log 12^30
=30 log 12
=30(log 3+log 4)
=30(.477+.602)
=30(1.079)
=32.37
Log x=32.37
Therefore, x=10^32.37
Therefore we have just a number more than 32 i.e,33 digits

Q36. A problem on probability with certain number of green and red balls. It
asked how many green balls must be added so that probability of picking

(9th Oct 11:30)

38. Sum of first four terms of an A. P with common difference 3 is 46. What is
the sum of next four terms? (9th Oct 11:30)
a + a+d + a+2d + a+3d = 46.
4a+6d = 46
4a+18= 46
4a= 24. a = 6.
First four terms = 7, 10, 13, 16
Sum of next four terms = 19 + 22 + 25 + 28 = 94

Shortcut average of first 4 is 11.5 the average of next will shift by 3*4 12 units .
Hence 23.5. so sum 23.5* 4 = 94

47. The area of two circular faces of a cylinder is equal to the curved surface
area of that cylinder, what would be it's diameter given that the height is
8cm.(10th October 9am)
Answer must be 16 yes 16
Area of two circular faces=curved surface area
>pi×r^2+pi×r^2=2pi×r×h
>2pi×r^2=2pi×r×h
Now 2pi×r will get cancelled out from sides
>r = h (h=8cm)
>r =8
Diameter =2r =2×8=16cm

pi*r^2 (area of circle ) = (curved surface area of cylinder ) 2*pi*r*h…… r=h

r=2*h

55. LogA/(B-C) = LogB/(C-A) = LogC/(A-B) then find A^A*B^B*C^C 11th Oct

4.30 pm. Is it Log(a/(b-c)) or Log(a)/(b-c)?
The way I wrote is exactly how it appeared there! Its
Answer is 1 for it.
1 is correct
I think so taking log of A^A*B^B*C^C it becomes 0. Yes answer is 1

Solution:
Let (log a)/(b-c)=(log b)/(c-a)=(log c)/(a-b)=k, where k is a constant, then
log a = kb-kc ... (1)

log b = kc-ka ... (2)

log c = ka-kb ... (3)

Multiply (1), (2) and (3) by a, b and c respectively

alog a = kab-kac ... (4)

blog b = kbc-kab ... (5)

clog c = kac-kbc ... (6)

Adding (4), (5) and (6),

alog a + blog b + clog c = 0

log a^a + log b^b + log c^c = 0

log (a^a)(b^b)(c^c) = 0

(a^a)(b^b)(c^c) = 1

Correct me if i am wrong!
Is it a correct approach?

This is 100% correct, thanks!

Q) in lr 4 questions of coding decoding. Easy ones.
Q) SMART is coded as 12345, RELISH is coded as 567891 so tell about ALARM
Ans:- 38342 (how plz explain)(R is 4 acc to SMART and 6 acc to RELISH,thus
the confusion and relish have 6 alphabet but code has only 5 digit.) :: Logic ?
Can anybody explain this?
Instead of Smart there was a 6 letter word numbered 1 to 6 and R was 5.It was
very easy.
A: 3, L: 8, A: 3, R: 4(why not 6?), M: 2 (using both the words) ( 7th Oct 11:30

( 7th Oct 11:30 am repeated)
1^2 and 7^2(diff of 1 and 7=6),,3^2 and 5^2(diff of 3 and 5= 2) and so on….
I think the answer would be 81.
The first two columns is sequence of squares of odd numbers I.e
1^2 3^2 (1,3,5,7)
7^2 5^2
The next two columns is a sequence of squares of even numbers. I.e 2,4,6,8
2^2 4^2
8^2 6^2
The other again shows a sequence of squares of odd numbers I.e (9,11,13,15)
Hence 81

Q.11) is ans 19? Cudnt understand it. Question seems to be incomplete(yep

it’s incomplete there must to be some condition to calculate)GF,
The question is complete. It is asking what are the different values that a+b
can take….it can take values from 0 to 18. Hence 19 values
Can you explain this question in detail? ( take single digit value of each a and
b add them u vl get range from 0 to 18 so there are 19 values a+b can take)
IT cant be this,to get answer as 19,it was not needed to give two nums and add
them up,some additional info must be there to remove some cases.

No, the question is not complete. it was asked that how many values (a+b)
can take such that the number is divisible by 9.
so, answer is 4 (0+6, 1+5, 2+4, 3+3)
1a6 is 3 digit no set - so does that mean we can create any 3 digit number
using 1,a,6?
Then what is the final ans..?? Won't it be 6 (values can be 8+7 and 9+6 also)

Q.12) Anil 's daughter dolly..dolly's maternal aunt has only 1 sis....how is she
related with Anil?
Wife of Anil.

Q.13) Input Output based on Pascal Triangle.

Input were all numbers
No knowledge of Pascal triangle is required...If you are able to calculate the
powers of 2, then this question can be easily done. No need to complicate it.
Step 1 - find digital sum of the numbers (e.g. 31 ka digital sum = 4)
Step 2 - sum of all the numbers on pascal triangle for the number given (e.g.
you got 4, 2^4 on pascal triangle is 1 4 6 4 1, so add them, you get 16.
)(Which is actually 2^4...so no need to know Pascal's triangle ..right?)
Step 3 - again digital sum (16 ka digital sum = 7)
Step 4 - again pascal triangle pe check (2^7 on pascal triangle calulate karo) -
FINAL STEP

(basically 2 times you have to do all this)

PASCAL TRIANGLE:

2^0 = 1
2^1 = 1 1
2^2 = 1 2 1
2^3 = 1 3 3 1
2^4 = 1 4 6 4 1
2^5 = 1 5 10 10 5 1
2^6 = 1 6 15 20 15 6 1
2^7 = 1 7 21 35 35 21 7 1

18. abab is divisible by 11. Where a>b. How many values are possible for a and
b.
Is the answer 0?? The answer is 45 how did you get 45?. ANS should be zero,if
condition of a>b is given,otherwise it would be 9.(1111,2222and so on)
Eg ; 1100 (1 value) 2211 , 2200(2values) and so on till 9 i.e (1+2+3+4…..+9) but
format to abab hai. Answer is zero

Ans has to be zero

Check for 11 ka divisibility
2b-2a=0 or 11k
11k possible nai hai kyunki diff of two even nos cant be 11
And they cant be zero as a>b
So no such no. Exists.

19.) 7, 20,47,94,167, __ ? Ans : 272

(can someone plz give the logic for this?)

First calculate difference between all numbers

Difference is 13, 27, 47, 73 now we are doing same think again 14, 20, 26 now
we can see their difference is equal to 6 then we have to add 26+6=32, now
73+32=105 and 105+167=272

1 .Log 512 base 8?

Solution Write base 2^3 and 512= 2^9 . Hence log 512 base 8 would be 9/3(log2
base 2) Answer - 3
Can somebody explain this properly? you can change base by making it in
power of 2, the power from base is divided by the log , just like the power of
number gets multiplied. log(2^3)2^9= so 9 gets multiplied and 3 gets divided
comes out to be 9/3(log(2)2)=3

2.No. of triangles that can be formed using vertices of heptagon such that no
side is common to the original haptagan.
Answer. 7(confirmed)

If two sides are common :- number of triangles = n n: no of sides of the polygon
If no side is common(as mentioned in this question) Number of triangles :- n(n-

4)(n-5) / 6 is valid for polygon having nn no. of the sides such that n≥6\

A.30 months

31 months

35 months

Answer: 30 months

Can some one explain why 30 not 31 ?

It forms an AP with 1st term as 250 and common diff. As 50 and T(n)=1700

So 1700=250+(n-1)50

Therefore from here n= 30

5.

complete the work? (25 oct)

Pls confirm soln : 4 days 16 hrs

Yes it is correct Solution??? Please Solution please!!

So if G takes 16 days and M takes 8 days. Together they will take 16/3 days.

Now since N’s EFFICIENCY IS DOUBLE, the amount of time he takes will be

half of 16/3 which is 8/3. In 4 days, 4X(3/16) work is completed and hence only
¼ work is remaining. Which can be done by N in 1/4X8/3=⅔. 2/3of24hrs is 16

hours. So in total its 4 days and 16 hours.

6. Dishonest trader uses 950 gms instead of 1kg..but sells at the cost

the correct answer ? both the questions are same but with 2 answers 100/19 or

20/19) (25 oct)

100/19

Yes it is correct

How?

The formula i used is (error/(True value-error))*100. So (50gms/950gms)*100 is

100/19. There is direct formula to solve this type of question's. i.e (goods

left/goods sold) *100

days.neeraj is twice as efficient both garima and meera combined.garima and

meera started working together and left after 4 days..rest of the work done

by..find total time taken to complete the work? Ans. 4 days 16 hrs

(let total work be 16 unit. Garima do 1 unit per day Mera do 2 unit pd

N did 6 unit per day

In 4 da3ys g+m 12 unit work completed

Remain 4 unit niraj did in 16 hr.. (24/6)..1 unit take 4 hr

Or ( another approach) Garima = 1/16

Meera = ⅛

Neeraj = ⅜ neraj is twice efficient (2*((1/16)+(⅛)))

Work by g and m in 4 days is ¾ .remaining is ¼ so 1/4/3/8 is ⅔ so 24 * (⅔) is 16

jab first digit fix ho gai h den we will see the last place as we can only fill the

odd digits there so we have 3 options and now for remaining places we can fill

4 and 3 digits so the answer would be 1*3*4*3 = 36

Or

Ans-84(wrong)

2000- 1*4*3*3= (Multiplication is 36, this is correct)

Q 20 .5th Sept 1888 which day ?

Ans Wednesday

Logic:we will have 136 odd days in this case which on div by 7 leaves 3 as

remainder ...and that means Wednesday..

Can you explain logic for counting odd days ? Ordinary year = 1 odd day

Leap has 2

100 years have 5

200 have 3

300 have 1

400 have 0 odd days

On googling, the answer is wednesday. Just search 5 september which day

Q 21. Find the last digit of 5^85(3^435 - 1) ? Ans 0

Bcoz 5^ anything will end with 5 and 3^anything will be odd always so 3^435 -

1 will be even no.

So even no. * 5 always gives end digit as 0

Q. 24. Find value of X & Y ,if X is the distance travelled in upstream & y is the

distance travelled in Downstream. Time taken to cover X & Y is equal .

Speed of current is 16km/hr .

Speed of boat is 8 km/hr. Is this question incomplete?

Answer We can only make a relationship between X and Y which s 3X=Y (if u

consider above 2 statements crct then rel p be 3X= -Y)

Can’t be determined using both the statement? Correct me if I am wrong how is

the speed of current more than speed of boat. How will the boat move

upstream. Flaw in question. (23 Oct)

Q.25.A sector of sheet having central angle 288 deg and radii of 11.5cm is

there.This piece of sheet was rolled nd made into a cone with the two bounding

radii.find the curved area of the cone made.

Ans- (@/360) * pi* r*r = (288/360)*pi* 11.5*11.5

107.64 pi( calculation mistake 105.8 pi will come when you multiply) Ans

will be 105.8 pi(This is correct, but was this in option plz confirm)

Circumference of the cone =(288/360)×2pi×11.5 =18 . 4th i

Radius of the cone =18.4pi/2pi=9.2

Curved area=9.2×11.5×pi=105.8 pi

Simply find the area of the sector that is equal to the curved surface area .

How much

%more sugar a person should consume compared to salt soln so that he

intakes equal quantities of salt & sugar?

Ans. (12-8)/12= ⅓ = 33.33%

How about this- 100ml of salt solution gives 12 salt. 150ml of sugar soln gives

12 sugar. Ans- (150-100)/100*100= 50% correct me if i am wrong.

Should be 50%

Q.27. Ratio of sales for the day of shirt,pant and jeans was 2:3:5 there unit

prices are 12,10 and 18 respectively if total sales for the day is $864 then what

are no. Of shirts sold

Answer-12

Solution : 12*2x + 10*3x + 18*5x = 864$

144x = 864 => x= 6 and hence no. of shirts sold = 2x = 2*6 = 12 answer

Q.28. 10 men completed a work in 8 days working 8 hrs how much days will 20

men require if working 6 hours and work is thrice

Answer: 16
Q.29. if a sum is invested @8% compounded semi annually in how many years

will the amount be double

Ans: 9? Please provide solution (is it 8% per annum )

let sum = 100

200 = 100(1+4/100)^2n65

root 2 = 1.04^n(how to calculate n from this step)

n= 9

(Refer to rule of 72).

correct me if I am wrong(absolutely u r wrong u can’t half the interest rate like

this ) ( interest rate will get halved i.e., 8/200; as it is halfyearly) the rate must

be something else or the ques is incomplete because going by these quantities

the ans comes out to be a vague

it is not wrong as in case of half yearly the rate becomes r/2 and in case of

quarterly it becomes r/4

Q.30 A can do a in 48 days. A, B, C together can do the same job in 16 days. If

total they receive 12,000 after as their payment. What is A’s share?

Ans:- 4000

I am getting 3000 . somebody please confirm!No its 4000(Plz provide solution

?) Let the work 48 then A is doing 1unit /day

If it is getting completed in 16 days means work / day = 3

B & C collectively doing 2 units/day

So
A : B+C

1: 2

4000 : 8000 whats wrong in this ?

HERE B+C = 2

Even I’m getting the answer as 3000

AS A does 1/48 th of work in one day so in 16 days it will do 16/48 th of work ==

, so now his share should be 12000/4==3000. (Is this approach flawed?)

Q.41. Choose one option

Is apple cost more than pear

1. 3 apple 9 banana cost 120 rs

2. 1 pear 3 banana cost 45 rs (23 oct)

1st option is sufficient

2nd option is sufficient

Ans. Both required to answer

Neither option is sufficient type question

Logic : 3a + 9b=120-----------> 1a +3b=40

1p+3b=45, suppose cost of banana to be 10, so in both cases bananas cost 30

remain a= 10

, p=15

So

both statements are necessary to determine

Also we can subtract eq 1 from 2 then we will get a-p =- 5

So we get the answer as definite NO No need to assume values.

I think both I’d required a+3b=40. => 3b=40-a P+3b=45. => p+40-a=45

P-a=5 so pear is costlier

Both required

45. Even no. btw 102 and 433 div. 13 but not b 5? Ans-

First of all we need to find the number of even numbers between 102 and 433

which are multiples of 13.So basically we are looking for multiples of

lcm(13,2)=26 between 102 and 433.

The total number of such multiples= 13 (starting with 104 and terminating at

416) But we also need to eliminate th

Answer: 433-102=331. Now, 331/26 =12, therefore there are 12 nos. Divisible by

13 which are even. Now divide 12 by 5, 12/5=2. We will subtract 2 from 12 as we

do not want those nos. Which are divisible by 5. Therefore, 12-2=10. So, 10 is the

answer.

The smallest number divisible by 48 and 54 is the LCM of the given two numbers
i.e 432

Now the largest 7 digit number is 9999999

Dividing 9999999 by 432 leaves a remainder of 63

Hence to get the required number we need to subtract 63 from 9999999 which
gives us

The number n which is divisible by 3,5,7,9 is odd or not ?
Condition : 0<n<400
Is the answer 315? Yes ( please somebody explain this)

2. If 10 Men or 35 women, or 30 children can complete some work working 2 hrs in
4 days. Then how many men will be required to complete 4 times of the work
working with 14 women, 36 children working 4 per day in 4 days.
An xs. 4? I also got the answer as 4 (HOW?-SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN)

10M*2*4=35W*2*4=30C*2*4
2M=7W=6C------LCM(42)
Efficiency ,M=21,W=6,C=7
Total work =21*10*2*4=1680
4*1680=(x*M+14*W+36*C)*4*4
.Put M=21,W=6,C=7
x=4 Ans

Another Method:
Men= M; Women= W; Children= C
10M= 35W=30C Hour/day= 2 Days=4 Work= 1 unit
W= 10M/35; C=10M/30
xM+14W+36C Hour/day=4 Days=4 Work= 4*1units= 4 units
xM+14*(10M/35)+ 36*(10M/30)-----------------substituting values
`= xM+16
10(M)*2/4*4/4*4/1= 20Men Needed
xM+16M= 20 Menm
So, x=4 Men

 3. If a man have some sweets with him. So he was able to sell only 50%qs of
the sweets in a day and he can sell the sweets in 2 days after making them.
So after selling half of the sweets on day one he observed that 20% of the remaining
sweets are not edible. Next day he starts with the remaining sweets and sell 50% of
the sweets. And at the end of the day he again found out that 20% of the remaining
sweets are not edible so he threw those sweets and remaining sweets he give to
the poor on the next morning. What will be the number of sweets with him if he
have to throw 476 sweets in the given time.K
1. 3200
2. 3400
3. 3600
4. 3800
5. 4000
Ans : 3400.
Can you please show working? let total sweets=100x
100x-->50% sold =50x
50x -->20% threw=10x
40x -->50% sold =20x
20x -->20%threw=4x
16x left
total threw =14x =476j
x=34
total sweets=100x=3400

OR
Suppose the man has “x” number of sweets.
He sells 50% hence 0.5x remains with him,
20% of 0.5x=0.1x ------ (i)
Remaining 0.5x-0.1x=0.4x
Sells 50% of 0.4x hence remaining sweets with him=0.2x
20% of 0.2x=0.04x ----- (ii)

i & ii are the non edible sweets

Hence 0.14x=476 => x=3400 (Ans)

3. For 10 people average of their salary is 10000. So of these ten people

for the first 3 people their salary increased by 1000, for next 3 salary is increased
by 1500. For the next 3 people their salary decreased by 2000. And for the last one
his salary is decreased by 1500. So what will be the new average of the salary of
the employees?
Ans: 10000
1.
2. I got 10,000.
3.

+next 3 each salary increase by 1500 each=1500*3=4500

+next 3 salary decrease by 2000 each=2000*3= -6000
+next 1 guys salary decreased by 1500=-1500
So net salary increase= 3000+4500+(-6000)+(-1500)=0
So average salary remains same

10. Sadhu complete a task by working for 20 days and Sadhna for 40 days. Both worked on alternative days starting from sadhu. No. of days in
which task would be completed?

(26.5 days) - Final answer

Solution : Assuming total work to be 40(Lcm of 20 and 40)
Sadhu does 2 units per day and sadhna does 1 unit per day

If they work alternatively starting with sadhu and thn sadhna that means in 2 days 3 unit of work will be finished So 39 units of work will be
finished in 26 days and last 1 unit will be done sadhu so ½ day more...in total 27 days are required to finish the job if they work al ternatively.
Q 11.

Why is this wrong?

11. A is 1.5 times more efficient than B. If B alone completes a task in

13 days,what is the time taken for both working together to complete?
5.20 (FINAL ANSWER)

B one day work=100/13=7.69%

A one day work=7.69*1.5=11.53%
A+B=19.22%
So 100% work would be done together in 100/19.22=5.20 days!

Q. If (a^n -b^n) is divisible by a+b then which of the following can be the value of n?
There were 3 odd numbers and one even number. (I don't remember the numbers exactly)
Ans (That’s enough for the answer)
Even Number will be answer
(a^even - b^even) is always divisible by (a+b),(a-b)
(a^odd - b^odd) is only divisible by (a-b)
Similary, few more concept (a^odd + a^odd) is only div by (a+b)
(a^even+b^even) -> we can’t say anything for (a-b),(a+b) divisibility
