Installation Guide for SketchUp Pro

*Please Note: This licensing information is for Project Lead The Way schools teaching the
PLTW Gateway program. In order to successfully install and authorize SketchUp Pro, you must
be logged in as an administrator.

Procedure
1. Go to https://www.sketchup.com/download/all
2. Select Sign In or Create Account

3. Input your e-mail address and Select Next or Sign in with Google.

4. Input your information and Select Create new account

5. You will be sent a verification e-mail to your e-mail address. Once you verify your
account you will be able to login.
6. Select Download next to SketchUp Pro 2017 for your operating system.
a. Note: SketchUp Pro 2017(recommended) will only run on a 64 bit system. If you
are on a Windows 32 bit system, you will need to download SketchUp Pro 2016.

7. Launch the downloaded SketchUpPro-en-x64.exe

8. Select Install

9. Select Next

IF YOU ARE CREATING A MASTER IMAGE FOR MASS DEPLOYMENT, FOLLOW

STEPS A-D BELOW. IF YOU ARE NOT CREATING AN IMAGE, THEN PROCEED
TO STEP 8 ON PAGE 5.

*If you are creating a master image:

a. Download this zip folder.
b. Extract the downloaded zip folder.
c. Move the activation_info.txt file within the folder to
C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2017.

d. You can then create your image and deploy it. When SketchUp Pro is launched on
the client machine, the license information will already be displayed.

13. Launch SketchUp Pro

14. Check the I agree box and then select Continue

15. Select Add License

16. Enter the serial number and activation code below for your version of SketchUp:
SketchUp Pro 2017: Serial Number: SH-00308259-ALRAuthorization code: ae17e683b193c5
SketchUp Pro 2016: Serial Number: RH-00308261-ALR Authorization Code:a8a10dc4d193c5
Then select Add License.

17. Confirm that the license was successfully added.

SketchUp Pro does not come with an STL extension for 3D printing. If your school
plans on 3D printing, then the STL Extension for SketchUp needs to be installed. Follow
