1. (a) A Pentagonal prism of base side 25 mm and height 55 mm is resting on HP with one of its base
edges, such that the axis is inclined at 500 to HP and parallel to VP. Draw the projections of the CO3
prism.
or
(b)
A Hexagonal pyramid of base side 25 mm and axis height 60 mm is freely suspended from one of
CO3
its base corners, such that the axis is parallel to VP. Draw the projections of the solid.
2. (a) A Cone of diameter 35mm and height 55 mm is lying on the ground with one of its generators and
CO3
its axis parallel to VP. Draw its projections.
Or

(b) A Cylinder of base diameter 60 mm and height 70 mm is having a point of its periphery of base
on HP with axis of the cylinder inclined to HP at 450 and parallel to VP. Draw the projections of CO3
the cylinder.
3. (a) A Cube of side 35 mm is placed and cut by a plane in such a way that the true shape of the
section is a regular hexagon. Draw the front and top views of the cube and determine the CO4
inclination of the plane with the HP.
Or
(b) A pentagonal pyramid of base side 25 mm and altitude 60 mm rests on its base on the HP with CO4
one of the base edges perpendicular to VP. It is cut by a plane inclined at 50 0 to the base. The
cutting plane meet the axis at 15 mm above the base. Draw the front view, sectional top view and
true shape of the section.
4. (a) A right circular cone base diameter 45 mm and axis height 55 mm rests on its base on the HP. It CO4
is cut by a plane perpendicular to HP and inclined at 50 to VP. The shorter distance between the
cutting plane and the top view of the axis 10 mm. Draw the top view, sectional front view and
true shape of the section.

(b) A Cylinder of 45 mm diameter and axis 55 mm height is resting on the ground on its base. It is cut
by a plane perpendicular to VP and inclined at 350 to the HP and meet the axis at a point of 20 CO4
mm from the top. Draw the sectional plan and true shape of the section.
5. (a) Draw the development of the lateral surface of the lower part of the truncated cylinder of diameter
45mm and height 60 mm when sectioned by a plane inclined at 40 0 to HP and perpendicular to CO4
VP and bisecting the axis.
Or
(b) A Hexagonal pyramid of base 30 mm and height 75 mm rests on its base on HP such that a base
edge is parallel to VP. It is cut by two cutting planes, perpendicular to VP. One of the plane is
inclined at 300 tro HP and meeting the axis at a point of 40 mm from the base. The other plane is CO4
curved of 30 mm radius with the right corner of the base as centre. Draw the development of the
lateral surfaces of the lower portion of the pyramid.
