To Whom it May Concern:
I had the pleasure of employing and working alongside Ms. Ma Elena
Bush. She was hired at my facility in 2018, and stayed with us until September 2019 due to her health. In that time Ma Elena was an important part of our small daycare center. She moved from the infant room to the preschool room with ease. She would help in the after school room if needed as well, always with a positive attitude. She kept a tidy classroom at all times and would even do extra chores to help out, such as dishes or taking out the trash, without having to be asked. Ma Elena came into our center a year after opening and was a great help to working out kinks and adjusting to schedule changes with ease. She got along and respected her coworkers and created a pleasant working environment in all rooms she worked in.
She is talented and generous. While on staff, Ma Elena created lesson
plans and shared her lovely artistic abilities with the children on a daily basis. In January, we had an “art exhibition” of the children’s artwork and Miss Elena took personal time to draw individual portraits of each child to display. She gave us permission to sell the portraits to the parents and she donated the funds to go toward art supplies for our school. It was extremely special and one of a kind. The parents were incredibly grateful and the children loved seeing their faces drawn by their teacher! Most importantly, Ma Elena is an exceptional teacher. She cared for each child with love and an open heart. She listened to the children and never dismissed their feelings or questions. She was gentle and kind, while still having control over the room. Her discipline was never rash nor unfair, but firm and explained. She really shone in the infant room where she anticipated and knew each infants’ specific needs, likes and dislikes. She holds a special place in my heart not just because she is a great teacher and employee, but she also created a special bond with my son while he was in her care. I knew he was happy and in great hands while he was with his beloved Miss Elena!
Any facility should consider themselves lucky to have Ma Elena on
staff. Parents and children alike were saddened by her departure, but we all feel lucky to have had her as a teacher, coworker and employee.
