Linden's Holiday Happening Frosty Parade & Fireworks will take place Friday , December 6 , 2019 at 6 pm in
Downtown Linden, Michigan. To ensure your entry into the Parade, please complete and submit this application no later
than Friday November 29, 2019

Entry Announcement: To properly identify your entry during the parade, please give us an announcement of 30 words or less in

LIABILITY WAIVER FOR PARTICIPANT: As a participant or group representative in the 2019 Linden's Holiday Happening Frosty Parade, I recognize and
acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury and I agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, including death, damages, loss which I
sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected or associated with the parade. I do hereby fully release and discharge Happening in Linden
and the City of Linden, their officers, agents, volunteers, and employees from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damages or loss which I
may have or which may occur to me on account of my participation in the parade. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend Happening in
Linden and the City of Linden, their officers, agents, volunteers, and employees from any and all claims resulting from injuries, including death and losses
sustained by and arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with the parade. I have read and will abide by the attached rules .

FROSTY PARADE RULES AND REGULATIONS
Please read the rules before completing and returning your registration form.
1. ALL entries MUST be decorated with lights. (Be Creative and light it up !!!)
2. PLEASE, NO SANTA OR MRS. CLAUS. We have invited the “real” Santa.
3. No unit will be entered in the parade unless the registration form and $15 Registration fee is turned
in prior to the event. ($15 Fee is waived for Sponsors and Civic Groups, Scouts, Schools, etc. )
4. Happening In Linden reserves the right to reject any entry that is not in good taste, inappropriate, or
not in the best interest of the parade. ABSOLUTELY, NO MEMBERSHIP OR PETITION
SOLICITATION IS PERMITTED IN THE STAGING AREA OR ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE.
5. This is a Holiday Parade. We ask that there be no Political entries.
6. All entries should be properly identified with signs or banners with the organization’s name so that
spectators know who you are.
7. Drivers of motorized vehicles must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
8. All walkers must be able to keep up with the pace of the parade.
9. All parade participants are required to conduct themselves in such a manner as not to infringe on the
rights of those people living along the staging area and parade route.
10. NO objects including candy, flyers, favors, etc., may be thrown to the crowd along the parade route
or staging area. Michigan State Law prohibits throwing of items from vehicles or floats in a parade.
However, you may have walkers hand out flyers, favors, candy etc.to the crowd. Keeping spectators out
of the roadway.
11. There are to be no vision obstructions in any of the parade units.
12. Float riders are only permitted to ride on the float during the parade route.
13. NO alcoholic beverages are allowed in the staging area or during the parade.
14. Equestrian and animal units must provide their own accompanying clean-up and equipment.
15. All units must remain in your assigned position. You must be present at the staging area by 5:00
p.m. Drivers of vehicles in the parade are to be in the driver’s seat and ready to move at 5:45p.m.
16. DO NOT EXIT THE PARADE EARLY. The parade ends at Mill ST.
17. Parade Registration Forms must be received by Friday, November 29, 2019
