CONSUMER PREFERENCES ON DIFFIRENT BRANDED SPORTS


SHOES:

INTRODUCTION:
This project takes a look in various kinds of Merchandising activities, Market Share of different
sports shoes and various Sales Promotion schemes, which are followed in the Sports shoes
industry. The three major global players i.e. Reebok, Nike, and Adidas dominate the sports shoes
industry in India. India is one of few battlegrounds in the world where there is neck-to-neck
competition between the three. The companies claim to be in number one sport quoting the data
produced by two different marketing research companies. The present study involves preferences
of customers on various branded sports shoes available in the market.

NEED FOR THE STUDY:


All the sports shoe companies such as Nike, Adidas, and Reebok etc. are evolving continuously
with various advancements over a period of time and competing with each other over satisfying
the needs of various designs for the customers. With the heavy competition these shoe
companies have, it is important to study the consumer preference about different brand.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:


 To study the customer preference towards various sports shoes.
 Comparison between various branded sports shoes.
 To know the personal view of customers regarding choices among various branded sports
shoes.
 To study which branded sports shoe is mostly preferred by people as per their choices.
SCOPE OF THE STUDY:
This comparative case study analyses the preferences of the customers towards various
sports shoe companies like Nike, Adidas, and Reebok etc. which is confined to last 5
years in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderbad.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:
The data used in this study involves primary data which is collected through a
questionnaire, Websites and various newspapers. The data is analyzed with the help of
important statistical techniques and interpreted using graphical and pie chart
representation.
