To move a 50kg weight you will need a minimum of 50 newtons. Then convert the
distance, 3 mm to meter as a result of 0.003. Using the distance and multiply by 50
newtons to find the work. The work is 0.15 j. To find the power, multiply the work to
the amount of fiber. The young man's power is 37950 j/s and the old man's power is
35100 j/s. As you can see that young man's power is higher than old man as a result
that young man can do more work in a particular time than old man. The difference
in the power and work exerted by young and old people are 2850 j/s. From my
opinion I do not know if this is a big or small difference because there are no
reference to compare the difference too. It can be both big and small difference
based on how you view the number and what are consider small and big.
During a physical test, The carbon dioxide and oxygen concentration in blood of an athlete were
measured when doing different activities. The results are shown in table below.
In cellular respiration, it take in oxygen and release carbon dioxide. In each exercise
with different intensity, there are different amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide
concentration. Exercise with higher intensity increases the carbon dioxide
production.
Using the information from the table Evaluate which activity is
better to lose weight.(Evaluate: make judgements, assess
limitations and strengths of your answer.)
From the result of the table, crunches is better to lose weight because there is high
concentration is both high in concentration of O2 and CO2 is the best exercise
choices.
A group of researchers found a new microorganisms that can live in presence of oxygen,
producing CO2 and H20 as wastes, and also CO2 and C ₂H ₅OH (ethanol) without it.
The organism is eukaryote because it is able to live both in presence and absence of
oxygen. Because eukaryote has mitochondrion which allow it to have cellular
respiration while prokaryote doesn't. In the presence of oxygen the pyruvate will
enter the mitochondrion and perform cellular respiration producing ATP, CO2 and
H2O. Without the presence of the oxygen the pyruvate will perform fermentation
producing lactate and ethanol.
