During this lesson, learners will be able to…

- To consolidate previous vocabulary about the weather


- To consolidate previous vocabulary about the days of the week

The activity will focus on:
-Vocabulary: rainy, sunny, cloudy, partly cloudy, stormy, windy, rainy
- Clothes: shoes, scarf, jacket, pants, shirt, short, glasses, hat

Integration of skills: 

They will develop their:
- Speaking skills through repetition, participation and listening
- Senso-motors skills by drawing and painting

Multiple intelligences:

- Interpersonal skills
- Spatial intelligence
- Logical-mathematical intelligence

- Weather poster
- Cutouts of the weather
- Watercolors
- Blank sheets with a chart (Hot / Cold)

-Children not listening to the questions

Classroom management strategies:



-Start each activity explaining what they have to do
- Use a strategy to return to calm: that they already know:
Ask at which table they are sitting better/ Raise your hand
if you are listening to me/ Cover your eyes and count to 3 for
everyone to calm down
- Ask a student to be the teacher’s assistant if he/ she refuses
to work

Assessment: collecting information and reporting your findings

PURPOSE:
- Introduce the lesson’s topic

SAID TO STUDENTS:

- Tell them that they are going to revise the vocabulary about
the weather
- Tell them that now they are going to meet a new friend. His
name is Sid and he has a ship.

Let's learn about different types of weather with Sid and his Sheep

When it's sunny weather Sid and his sheep like to go to the beach

When it's rainy weather Sid and his Sheep use their umbrellas to
stay dry

When it's snowy weather Sid and his Sheep like to make snow
angels

When it's cloudy weather Sid and his Sheep like looking for shapes
in the clouds

When it's windy weather Sid and his Sheep like watching the
windmills spin around while flying their kites

When it's stormy weather Sid and his Sheep stay inside and watch
the storm through their window

When it's foggy weather Sid and his Sheep like to play hide and seek
outside in their yard

When it's icy weather Sid and his sheep like to go ice fishing

ACTIVITY 1: Today’s weather

PURPOSE:
-That students can review the contents seen in the video
- That students can associate the poster with the external reality
TIMING: 4 minutes

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION AND INTRUCTIONS AS THEY WILL BE


SAID TO STUDENTS:
- Today is a great day for Sid and his sheep to play as they often do,
but first they want to know what the weather will be like today.
- The box will be pasted on the board
- Ask them: What day is today?
- How is the day?
- Is this image the correct one? Or is this another? Repeat until you
hit the correct one.

ACTIVITY 2: Joe’s clothes

HOT COLD

PURPOSE:
- That children can associate clothes with the weather
- That the children review the content about the clothes
TIMING: 12 minutes

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION AND INTRUCTIONS AS THEY WILL BE


SAID TO STUDENTS:
- Tell them: Sid and his sheep want to go on vacation, so he wants to
wear several clothes, some in case it is cold and others in case it is
hot.
- Each student will be reprinted a chart
- They will be asked what is hot and what is cold
- They will be told that they should draw clothes they wear in
summer in hot and garments for winter in cold
- The teacher will go table by table asking what they are drawing,
what is this? Is it for summer? Is it for winter?

SCAFFOLDING STRATEGIES:
- When a what is hot, the teacher will be waving hands expressing
heat
- When asked what is cold, the teacher will be cuddling hugging
expressing cold
- The teacher will help those who do not know what to draw, asking
them: what do you wear when you go to the beach? Maybe some
glasses? Swimwear? And when is it cold? A hat? Gloves?

PURPOSE:
- That students review the numbers
- That students can use different didactic materials

TIMING: 10 minutes

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION AND INTRUCTIONS AS THEY WILL BE


SAID TO STUDENTS:
- Sid is very worried about how the weather will be on his vacation.
So he wants to know how many drops it will fall each day.
- Students will be given a picture with several clouds, and they will
be told how many drops will fall each day. For example, on Monday
will fall 5 drops ... On Tuesday, 6 drops…
- They should paint with blue tempera the amount of drops
indicated.

- The teacher will make with the hands the amount of drops that are
asked to paint
