USC offer upper division undergraduate students with academic potential the
opportunity to increase learning and networking opportunities for students committed to
pursuing get experience health education in Indonesia. Students will be paired with a mentor
with special expertise. The program is designed for student who wish to learn more about the
Indonesian medicine, hospital based on Islamic management systems, life sciences, health
sciences, etc.

What’s included?
Housing (twin/triple share), airport pick up, meal during program, program activities
indicated on schedule, Cultural visit, welcoming and farewell Dinner, certificates.

What’s excluded?
Passport and Visa fee, FLIGHT TICKET to and from Surabaya from your home country
(city), personal insurance, personal expenses, airport transfer.

Fees
No registration fee is needed. The program provides housing, a daily meal allowance,
and local transportation during your stay.

Course information
Student can expect outstanding teaching standards delivered in a warm and welcoming
environment. Programs are designed to be interacting, stimulating and fun. Course involve a
combination of class, cultural exchange, on-site visit and field trip. Two programs to choose
from:
o Program 1
1. Processing of traditional Indonesian herbal drugs
2. Islamic Hospital Management
3. Indonesian batik course
4. Indonesian and Japanese language class
o Program 2
1. Good Manufacture Practice (GMP)
2. Naval Safety Management Systems
3. Indonesian dance ourse
4. Indonesian and Japanese language class

o All participants are provided with an opportunity to join interesting field trips such us
visit Suramadu bridge and Madura Island etc.

Timeline and schedule


2 December 2019 – 2 January 2020 : Student registration
9 January 2020 : Students’ approval by home university
16 January 2020 : Payments deadline
20 January 2020 : Arrival in Surabaya
21 January 2020 : Camp starts
25 January 2020 : Camp end
26 January 2020 : Departure from Surabaya

o Subject of the email should clearly state “Application for UNUSA SPICY CAMP”
o Applications (in English) must include the following:
1. An application form (MS Word)
2. Recent curriculum vitae (CV)
3. A cover letter indicating motivations, skills, competencies relevant for this particular
internship and availability dates.
o General or incomplete applications will not be considered
