OVERVIEW OF LEGAL NEXUS

www.legalnexus is a legal search engine. Legal Nexus is an initiative aimed at emerging as a one stop
legal search engine. From dynamic affordable legal services and accessibility of legal aid even in the
remotest of locations to pro bono legal aid to the underprivileged and placements across the legal
spectrum, all facets are covered under one roof. Legal Nexus steps in and goes on to connect you
with the right professional, as and when required or to help you find the right job that would suit
your requirements. Legal Nexus, promoted by Expert Juridique Private Limited, is a new-fangled
legal consultancy & talent management company formed by a group of young dynamic experienced
lawyers who have worked with top tier law firms and esteemed organizations prior to incorporation
of Legal Nexus.

MAKING OF AN ENTREPRENEUR

Shubhangi Mehta, with her friend Ashita Monani, started Legal Nexus in January 2018 and parent
company Expert Juridique Private Limited was registered in march 2019. Shubhangi hails from
Dehradun and is a qualified lawyer. She completed her Law from Mumbai University and went on to
study PG in Media Laws from NALSAR Hyderabad. She has worked in setting up the digital presence
of various law firms in her 9 years of career. While she was working as the VP Digital for one of the
leading law firm she realized the importance and need for a platform where a common man, who
has extremely limited knowledge of law, can go and find easy to understand solutions to their legal
problems. In 2014 began the research phase for turning this idea into reality where Shubhangi
gathered information as to what people want and need when it comes to law and awareness of the
subject. After speaking to various professionals and people she came to the conclusion that people
are really ignorant of the laws prevalent in our country. The duo then went ahead and created a
website but it again took them a year or two, to gather all the content and have a website that
justified their idea.

MISSION

With legal requirements growing by the day, newer laws coming into force, dearth of good jobs in
the market and not much access thereof to layman, company is on a mission to provide quality legal
services in a time bound and cost effective manner, to enable users to find jobs that suit their
individual requirements and to make the overall legal experience hassle free for every citizen. Goal
of the company is to educate each and every person in need of legal assistance about their rights,
options and choices as ignorance of law is no excuse and to ensure that every deserving candidate
finds a suitable job notwithstanding his/her financial background, caste & creed. Legal Nexus aims to
not only limit their services to plush metros but to also extend them to far away remote areas
wherein obtaining legal guidance/ finding suitable legal jobs is a distant dream for most people.

Shubhangi’s vision is to make Legal Nexus a one-stop legal search engine that will encompass within
its head legal solutions to all facets of law as well as specialize in legal recruitments.
PROBLEMS FACED TODAY

Educating people about the importance of due diligence before choosing a legal professional has
been one of the initial challenges but with growing exposure to internet things are getting easier.
Since it’s such a dynamic field it is challenging to have authenticated and updated content so that
the user is abreast with the latest laws and updates.

FUTURE

The future growth prospect is to convert this platform into a user directory/ google for law for
people. Eg. Whether one is stuck in the middle of a jam and misses a flight, he or she should be able
to open legal nexus and

a) Get complete understanding of their rights and responsibilities,

b) should be able to talk to a professional regarding the same in real time. File a complaint to
whichever authority is needed in real time.

Company would in future like to attach more and more consumers and professionals to the Legal
Nexus community.

Shubhangi currently is in talks with an investor who is keen to take this ahead to the next level i.e. a
mobile app. It is all set to launch in year 2020.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP LESSONS

According to Shubhangi , being an entrepreneur is directly related to how good or bad team player a
person is. She feels every person can come up with great ideas and contribute in building a business.
As an entrepreneur you are the boss in the background. An entrepreneur who can train a team to
work independently so that after a point of time the business not just sustains but manages itself
smoothly even without you being present there is the best entrepreneur and this can happen only
when you work with your team and not ahead of them.

Though, not coming from an influential background, Shubhangi always believed in herself and had
the determination that one day she will run her own business and that has made all the difference.
She has passed the test of time and been through all the perils that came her way. She left the highly
paid secured job to follow her passion thus showing her risk-taking capabilities. Shubhangi has
excellent interpersonal skills which has helped build her business from scratch. She is currently a
panellist with Superstatup Asia Awards which are the first democratic awards across Asia and have
had their three chapters in India and the fourth chapter is going to be held in Singapore. She also
works as a digital trainer with corporates. She was featured in Doon City and Human define. She is
highly committed and driven individual with clients spread across USA and Dubai where the
timelines don’t match and she has been catering them for the past one year.

inspiring people around her with her story.
