shift comprises of her working one night shift a month,
which is not too demanding. The rest of her timetable
requires 7am-3.30pm shifts and then every other week
two afternoon shifts from 3pm-11.30pm.
Thank you Karen for your continued support for me and
stepping in to help with the family when I am away.

Terms 3 and 4 have been extremely full on with over 47 speaking engagements scattered around the country.

 Clutha District Council Methamphetamine Schools and
Community Week
A previous visit to Clutha District to collaborate
with Clutha CDC to assist tem in a methamphet-
amine awareness campaign in March was the
beginning of a huge response to this ongoing
initiative in Otago.
Jean Proctor from Clutha District Council set to
work to facilitate getting Amped4Life back and
strategically support schools through educational
programs. As a result of her effort, Amped4Life
had a very busy schedule and spoke in five school
assemblies and five community presentations over
four days which were delivered in September.

I had the privilege of speaking to approximately 20
people at a local industry company called BRIDGE
IT NZ at Lake Okataina in September this year.
BRIDGE IT NZ comprises of a team of highly skilled
experts that are focussed on an exceptional
customer experience. Bridge It NZ only build
bridges - small to medium sized bridges for the
farming and forestry sectors, councils, developers
and golf courses.
I was invited to share my story and speak into
the whole area of drugs and addiction. We had
a fantastic evening. Amped4Life appreciate the
opportunity to come and share some tools and
advice for the staff and employees concerning
substance abuse in the workplace.
 Christchurch Trip
We headed back to Christchurch again for nine speaking engagements at St Andrews School

The trip consisted of a whole day running two workshops for 280 Year 13
Middleton Grange School students. The feedback was extremely positive with a
request for more presentations in 2020. Anita Nielson did a wonderful job of
facilitating the whole day. Well done Anita. Good job. We also presented t
two assemblies to Year 9 and 10 at Middleton Grange Campus which was
a resounding success. Always a privilege to come back, to encourage the
students, and remind them again of their value and purpose as they navigate
their teenage years.

 Christchurch Trip
Burnside High School
We had an amazing time at Burnside High School presenting to the Year 13
students during the day and finishing with a PTA meeting with a Community
Drug Awareness Evening for parents and community groups. What an amazing
school. The reception we received and the feedback following was extremely
encouraging. We appreciate the opportunity Olivia Well, the teacher who made
this happen.

I got an invite from Vanessa, a PTA member from Tauhara High School in
Taupo in October. I presented to a full school assembly which was fantastic.
We know the PTA at Tauhara High School are already arranging for more
opportunities in 2020 and beyond. Thanks Vanessa for creating the
opportunity. You are awesome.
