Project Proposal for Constructing New Department

The complete description of project proposal for the construction of new Department in the
University of Engineering and Technology,Taxila.

Problem:
The problem is about the construction of new department of Software Engineering in UET
Taxila.Before it, both the computer engineering and software engineering are in the same
department,but now there is a need of making separate department for the Software engineering.

The reason for the construction of a new department is that the students admissions are increasing
every year with high rate in the software engineering,due to which more sections of students are
made.There is an overlapping of classes in department,and also the short time period of the labs work
for the students.
So, due to these problems there is a need of construction of new department for the separation of
software and computer engineering.

Solution:
The solution of the of given problem may be more than one. So, we discuss each solution briefly here
with the reasons,

 Construction of new department in the university area because there is a large empty space.
So ,the new department can be made easily there.
 Construction of new department can be on the roof of the existing department b making a
new floor on the top of the building.
 Expanding the existing department by making new classes and labs in the existing
department and adjust the problems.

Can the Solution be Implemented:

Now in this step we discuss every solution separately and discuss its faults and benefits for the
university and students.

Solution 1:

In the first solution, there is a proposal for the construction of new department in the
free area of university. It may be costly for the university, but the construction of new department
help the administration in future. And overall, the scenario of this solution is easily gained.
 Solution 2 :

This solution is also in the best interest of university administration, and for the
budget. It has a less cost than ‘solution 1’. But it, interrupts faculty and students both in their co-
curricular activities ad have a bad impact on the study of students.

Solution 3:
This solution has very low cost and can be implemented in a very short period. But
it also have the same impacts on students and faculty as ‘solution2’ has. It badly effects on the results
of the students and also mental issues, because the construction and studies can’t be run togather.

The Solution 1 is the best solution because it hsas
very effective imacts on the overall university. It also very effective for the ranking of the
university and also gives more facility to the students and faculty. It also helps the university for the
future purpose.
