Personal profile
I explore for hydrocarbons. I am a geologist with an educational and industry
background in wellsite and operation geologist, petrophysics, and sedimentation, and
have worked as an oil and gas exploration and development Geologist and
Petrophysicist in whole section of Egypt (Gulf of Suez, Western desert, Sinai, and
Nile Delta, onshore and offshore, vertical, deviated, highly deviated, and horizontal
exploratory and development wells). In my current position as a senior petrophysicist
exploring for oil in the Gulf of Suez, and I am a part of an integrated team of
geophysicists, engineers, and geologists. Since joining Gupco, 1989, I have been
involved in a lot of exploratory and development wells. I have also worked on acreage
relinquishment, acreage bid-round, and farm-in pro.
My skill set includes expert-level knowledge of wellsite, operation geologist, and
petrophysics. I use Landmark integrated geologic/geophysical/database, Geolog,
Geofram for log analysis. I have extensive experience in wellsite operations, both
offshore and onshore.
I enjoy continuing to contribute research to the geological community through papers
and presentations at geotechnical conferences local and worldwide. I have worked on
several integrated teams that included geoscientists, drilling and completions
engineers. I have spearheaded research projects and led efforts, involving these teams,
aimed at reservoir characterization, cost cutting, and process-improvement. I have
worked closely with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. I have college-level
teaching experience, enjoy transferring information and technology, and hope to
continue to apply state-of-the-art technology in the quest for hydrocarbon resources. I
look forward to future assignments in international and domestic exploration and
development projects
