IAQD: Islamic Belief 1

Fifthly: Inviting others to Islam: Primary duty of
prophets in general and prophet Muhammad in
particular according to the holy Qur’an is to call and
invite mankind to Islam. This duty has been assigned
to all Muslims.

 Da’wah is a call for people, and an invitation to God; His

Religion; Islam.
IAQD: Islamic Belief 2
 God said: ‘Say (O Muhammad SAW): This is my way; I
invite unto Allah (i.e. to the Oneness of Allah - Islamic
Monotheism) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever
follows me (also must invite others to Allah i.e. to the
Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism with sure
knowledge). And Glorified and Exalted is Allah (above
all that they associate as partners with Him). And I am
not of the Mushrikin (polytheists, pagans, idolaters
and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah; those who
worship others along with Allah or set up rivals or
partners to Allah).’ 12: 108.
IAQD: Islamic Belief 3
Inviting others to Islam means to simplify, explain and
educate people about Islam clearly with a obvious
manner.

Say: "Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger, but if you turn
away, he (Messenger Muhammad SAW) is only
responsible for the duty placed on him (i.e. to convey
Allâh's Message) and you for that placed on you. If you
obey him, you shall be on the right guidance. The
Messenger's duty is only to convey (the message) in a
clear way (i.e. to preach in a plain way).“ 24: 54
IAQD: Islamic Belief 4
 And (remember) Ibrahim (Abraham) when he said to
his people: "Worship Allah (Alone), and fear Him, that
is better for you if you did but know. "You worship
besides Allah only idols, and you only invent
falsehood. Verily, those whom you worship besides
Allah have no power to give you provision, so seek your
provision from Allah (Alone), and worship Him
(Alone), and be grateful to Him. To Him (Alone) you
will be brought back. "And if you deny, then nations
before you have denied (their Messengers). And the
duty of the Messenger is only to convey (the Message)
plainly.“ 29: 16 – 18.
IAQD: Islamic Belief 5
 Invitation to Islam must take place based on the
following Qur’anic verses:
God said: ‘Invite (mankind, O Muhammad SAW) to the
Way of your Lord (i.e. Islâm) with wisdom (i.e. with the
Divine Revelation and the Qur'ân) and fair preaching,
and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your
Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and
He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.’
a) Wisdom (with proof, good reasons)
b) good advise (simple teachings – public at large)
c) debate in a gracious manner (respect).

IAQD: Islamic Belief 6

 Sixthly: Alliance and disassociation (‫)وﻻء وﺑراء‬:
another important point that implies on accepting
articles of faith or rejecting them is the issue of
Alliance and coalition among Muslims, and
disassociation with non-Muslims.
 ‘And (remember) when Ibrahîm (Abraham) said to his
father and his people: "Verily, I am innocent of what
you worship. "Except Him (i.e. but Allâh Alone I
worship none) Who did create me, and verily, He will
guide me.“ 29: 16 – 18.

IAQD: Islamic Belief 7

 You (O Muhammad SAW) will not find any people
who believe in Allâh and the Last Day, making
friendship with those who oppose Allâh and His
Messenger (Muhammad SAW), even though they were
their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their
kindred (people). 58: 22.

IAQD: Islamic Belief 8

 O you who believe! Take not My enemies and yours as
friends (or protectors)― offering them (your) love,
even though they have rejected the Truth that has
come to you, and have (on the contrary) driven out the
Messenger and yourselves (from your homes), (simply)
because you believe in Allah; your Lord! If you have
come out to strive in My Way and to seek My Good
Pleasure (take them not as friends), holding secret
converse of love (and friendship) with them: for I
know full well all that you conceal and all that you
reveal. And any of you that does this has strayed from
the Straight Path. 60: 1.
IAQD: Islamic Belief 9
 Your (real) friends are (no less than) Allah, His
Messenger, and the Believers, those who establish
regular prayers and pay charity, and they bow down
humbly (in worship). As to those who turn (for
friendship) to Allah, His Messenger, and the
Believers― it is the party of Allah will be the
victorious. 5: 55 – 56.
 ‘The Believers men and women, are protectors one of
another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is
evil’. 9: 71.

IAQD: Islamic Belief 10

 Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses
the following three qualities will have the sweetness
(delight) of faith: 1. The one to whom Allah and His
messenger becomes dearer than anything else. 2. Who
loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake. 3.
Who hates to revert to disbelief as he hates to be
thrown into the fire.“ Imam Bukhari

IAQD: Islamic Belief 11

 There are few points that may facilitate understanding
this issue:
1- loving each other; hating Kufr: the act not the person.
2- Kindness and justice is the key of dealing with others:
Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you
not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes,
from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah
loves those who are just.’ 60: 8 – 9.

IAQD: Islamic Belief 12

 Muslim can marry non-Muslim: This day are (all)
things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food
of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours
is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are
(not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste
women among the People of the Book.

IAQD: Islamic Belief 13

 3- Muslim must protect and help his/ her brother/
sister Muslims.
 4- Muslims should not help non-believers over or
against Muslims.
 A believer should be thankful of being Muslim and
hate returning back to state of disbelieve.
 The hatred is directed towards action (worshiping
idols) not to the person.
 Kindness in dealing with those do not fight Muslims.

IAQD: Islamic Belief 14

 Belief is the way to convey/enter into Islam, not
through fighting, hence freedom of choice is
recognized in Islam and upon that responsibility will
take place accordingly; paradise or hell. Moreover,
whoever accept articles of faith is called Muslim or
Mu’min which means believer, on the other hand a
rejecter of them are called kafir which means infidel.
Furthermore, inviting people to Islam is made
compulsory on Muslims to create awareness and
educate mankind about Islam.

IAQD: Islamic Belief 15

 Nevertheless, all Muslims are brothers and sisters
whenever they are, they must help and protect each
others, and stand aside together, therefore, Muslims
should not help others over his/her Muslims
brothers/sisters. At the same time no oppression shall
take place against no-Muslims, simply because Islam
orders us to be kind and nice to all mankind.
