0 Architectural Plan

Architectural drawing is technical drawing for architectural projects. Architectural

drawing are a means of communicating ideas, concepts and details, and require
drafting skills in modern and traditional methods of architectural drawing. This
drawing are used by the architects and others to develop a design idea into a
coherent proposal, to communicate ideas and concepts, to convince clients of the
merits of a design, to enable a building contractor to construct it, as a record of the
completed work, and to make a record of a building that already exists.

Architectural drawing on this project includes all architectural contracts and drawings
such as roof plans, floor plans, elevations plans, cross sections, and any
architectural drawing that forms a part of the contract documents. Exceptions can
include mechanical, electrical and structural drawings, as well as specialized data
that are normally handled by specialists in those fields.
1.1 Elevations usually show the outline of the building, opening details and sizes,
level datums and floor position. An elevation should give an impression of how one
face of the building will look from the outside. Geometrically, an elevation is a
horizontal orthographic projection of a building on to a vertical plane, the vertical
plane normally being parallel to one side of the building.

1.2 Floor plans usually show the layout of rooms, key dimensions and levels, and
may also use conventions and symbols to show materials and locations of fittings
and appliances. The plan view includes anything that could be seen below that level:
the floor, stairs (but only up to the plan level), fittings and sometimes furniture
1.3 Roof plan is a scaled drawing or diagram of a proposed roof development
containing dimensions of the entire roof structure, including shape, size, design and
placement of all materials, ventilation, drainage, slopes, valleys and more. A roof
plan is a vital part of the planning stage for any new roof construction, and also for
any renovation, repair or extension work being performed on an existing roof.

1.4 Cross section views which is been cut with horizontal and vertical cross section
planes for explain the can’t be seeing parts in views that type and dimensions of inner
parts as roof, foundation, slab.A cross section is a vertical slice through a building with
one half removed so we can look inside. The sectional drawing was produced by
imagining that a giant chain saw cut the structure so it could be viewed from the side.
Sections are very good at describing hidden and complex volumes.
