Tools and Materials :

Tools Materials
2 pieces beaker glass 2-3 drops of FeCl3 0,1 M
2 pipette 10 mL H2O2 5%
1 piece stopwatch
1 piece measuring flask

Experiment Procedure :

1. Prepare the tools and materials that used


2. Put 10 mL of H2O2 5% into beaker glass A while turn on the stopwach
3. Turn off the stopwatch until bubble gas appear
4. Write down the time needed until bubble gas appear
5. Repeat procedure2 on beaker glass B add 2-3 drops of FeCl3 0,1 M while turn
on the stopwatch when add of FeCl3
6. Turn off the stopwatch until bubble gas appear
7. Write down the time needed until bubble gas appear

Both of experiment, bubble gas appear faster is experiment using add


FeCl3 as function catalyst because there’re catalyst in the solution can
make the reaction rate faster

3. How does the catalyst that affect reaction rate ?

Answer :
The catalyst can search the alternative reaction mechanism with low
activating energy. More low the activating energy so the reaction
become faster.

Answer :

When the reactor added of catalyst so the reaction rate will be faster.
There’re catalyst the reaction rate become faster because catalyst can
search the alternative reaction mechanism with low activating energy.
