1. EXCAVATOR FLEET UTILIZATION

• RH120/CAT6030/PC1250 drive on the tracks:


– 801 km per year ( 308 hours with 2,6km/h avg.)
– 4295 km per year (1227 hours with 3,5km/h avg.)
• 80 % cut of for travelling, 1025 hours increase to annual production
hours
• Less down time provides 992 600 tons more production capacity per
year
• Undercarriage lifetime from 2000 hour to 10000 hours with Sleipner
system
• Reduce fuel consumption & CO2 emissions 80% while travelling

2. DOZER FLEET UTILIZATION
• Dozers travelling on the 3rd gear 12% of total operating hours
• If annual operating is 5500 hours, 12% travelling representing 660
hours
• With DB120 is possible to save 80% of 660h travelling hours
• Saving per dozer is 528 hours per year
• Total annual saving in 16 dozer fleet is 528h x 16 = 8448 hours
• 8448 hour annual saving is equivalent to 1,5 dozer annual working
hours
• If average dozing production is 900 loose cubic meters per hour, annual
dozed volume increase is 8448 h x 900 lm3/h= 7 603 200 lm3
=> 7,6 Mlm3

3. DRILL FLEET UTILIZATION
• Blast hole drills travelling on the tracks 15% of total operating hours
• Annual operating is 5500 hours, 15% travelling representing 825 hours
• With DB120 is possible to save 80% of 825h travelling hours
• Saving per blast hole drill is 660 hours per year
• Total annual saving in 13 blast hole drill fleet is 660h x 13 = 8580
hours
• 8580 hour annual saving is equivalent to 1,5 blast hole drill annual
working hours
• If average drill performance is 20 meters per hour, annual drilled
meters increase is 8580 h x 20 m/h= 171 600 m => 171,6 km

FLEET OPTIMIZATION

• The mine were instructed to reduce


the dozer fleet by 4 machines from 13 Same

MAINTENANCE PLANNING

services at the workshops within a contaminant free
environment, but more importantly within an environment where
tools, equipment, lighting, spare parts and support equipment
are readily available.”

8. ROAD REPAIR COST REDUCTION
