This document summarizes research on harvesting waste heat from motorcycle exhaust to generate electricity using thermoelectric generators (TEGs). TEGs use the Seebeck effect to convert temperature differences into electric voltage. Experiments were conducted using a Kawasaki Ninja 250R motorcycle, with a TEG module producing an average of 0.4694W from a 48.73°C temperature gradient. A mathematical model of the Seebeck effect matched experimental data with 1.75% average error. While this module was insufficient to replace the motorcycle's alternator, the research demonstrated the potential of TEGs to harness waste heat from motorcycles.
