Acknowledgement

Thanks God, the merciful and the passionate, for providing me the opportunity
to step in the excellent world of science. To be able to step strong and smooth in this
way, I have also been supported and supervised by many people to whom I would
like to express my deepest gratitude.
Shiraz was the first place in which I was educated in the alphabet of plant
protection. It is always nice remembering the excellent times of the lessons by plant
pathologists and how this sweet experience moved me toward the study of the
plant pathogens.Tehran University became my second home after seeing the world
through the test tubes in the molecular bacteriology lab.
In 2003, after being awarded a scholarship by the ministry of Science, Research
and Technology of Iran, I found myself a new home, Utrecht. In my new home
I made a lot of new friends who helped me and my family in every step of my
scientific progress and life. I am indebted to you all from the bottom of my heart.
I believe that I would not be able to name everyone separately and to thank for
everything that they did for me, however I would like to take the opportunity and
express a few words of thanks to my best colleagues and friends.
